I have to say despite the offer of a Free coin + Postage, With the total being £2.50 it's not a great deal when you look at it.

I could similarly offer a 1918 Threepence at £1.85 + £0.65 for postage making the total £2.50 and I'd be selling the coin at a 118% Premium.

Seems quite deceitful if you ask me.

I didn’t look at it like that and I don’t usually collect old coins so I didn’t know the price of a Threepence so I heard the word “free” and automatically thought good deal thanks

Hi all!

The London mint don't ask you to pay up front for their 'free' coins, but they send an invoice that they expect to be paid within a set time frame (I can't remember the timeframe though!).

I hope this helps (although I guess I only really repeated what has been said already!)

About 80p worth of silver for £2.50 isn't such a great deal, especially considering that if you're buying in decent quantities a lot of old silver coinage can be had at very close to spot.

I'd avoid too good to be true deals.  Remember your personal details have value and you only value your data at whatever that "free" coin is worth.  If someone gives me a free kilo gold I might give up my details.  Not for a little silver.. no deal.
