First off - massive thank you for all of the support and feedback from everyone. @ChrisSIlver and I (and also Mrs BYB) are so very grateful for the forum's support on the two projects we have done this year so far.

We hope that in 2018 to release some additional sizes of bars (250g will definitely happen in 2018 but not sure about 500g yet!)

But for the time being we have still got some of the 100g Bars available! For those of you who are new to the forum since we ran this then a quick recap - these are 100g 999 silver bars. They were hand made and stamped by me, Backyard Bullion. They have been assay tested by the Edinburgh Assay Office who has stamped a Hallmark on them as a guarantee of purity.

The following serial numbers are free - you can go see these actual bars on the "portfolio" page of my website: http://backyardbullion.com/100g-silver-forum-bars/

52, 54 - 55, 57 - 60, 62 - 63, 66 - 68, 70 - 74, 76, 81, 83, 84, 86, 89, 90 - 96, 102, 104 - 110, 112 - 114, 124 - 126, 129 - 131

I have also got two of the 1 oz Silver Forum Bars left for sale:

172 & 181

The 1oz bars are priced at £25 (standard member), £22.50 (premium member) & £20 (gold premium) +£2.50 postage (free postage if you combine with any other item).

If you have already got some bars please feel free to order some more. There are no restrictions on how many people can buy.

So if you would like to get one then please get in touch. The prices are as follows:-

Prices are based on membership as follows

Standard member: £83 per bar

Premium member: £75 per bar

Premium gold member: £67 per bar

Postage: +£3 - However free postage will be offered if you purchase more than one bar. International postage will be more - if you would like an accurate quote please get in touch.

Proceeds from the sales of these bars go to help fund the running of the forum and help to keep membership levels where they are. So if you are a standard member wanting to support the forum but not sure about signing up for membership you can still support the forum!

Lastly we have got two bars that have been put aside - No. 200 from the 1 oz bars and No. 150 from the 100g Bars.

These are the final numbers in the mintage for 2017 and as they seemed to be very popular Chris Silver and I decided to leave it to a random draw to decide who would have the honour of purchasing these bars!

So the way it will work is that to register your interest in buying these final mintage bars you just need to comment on this thread saying "I want 150 & 200" This will only run through this thread. I will leave the entries open until Sunday 12th November at 6pm UK time. I will then make a random.org draw and we will have a winner.

Please note that this is NOT a free giveaway. By entering the draw you are competing to win the right to pay for the bars! The winner will have to pay the correct amount based on their membership.

Good luck and as I said earlier - huge massive thank you to everyone for the support and encouragement!

Perhaps a raffle is a good idea?

£5 a ticket, limited to 1 per member.

All monies to BYB.

At a respectful time on Remembrance Sunday, a random number is generated and a winner is called.

BYB takes his cut and as an honest man donates the rest of the raised money to the Poppy Appeal.

I appreciate this may be seen as gambling but it's just an idea to raise money for a cause.

I like this idea a lot.

I will post something tomorrow morning for this raffle.

Only concern I have is not getting enough entries to cover the cost of the silver. But we shall see how it goes.

Thanks for the great idea Roy.

To be honest we can get the ball rolling now.

If you would like to enter then £5 per ticket and all profits over the manufacturing costs of the two bars with go to poppy appeal.

If you would like to enter send £5 to my PayPal - info@backyardbullion.com

Deadline 6pm Sunday evening and I will do a draw.
