  1. What @Bape85 has paid for his kilo is still £2k less than what 70 silver una’s are sold for and not much more than a 69 una, so I don’t see why it should? Also, they are sold out of them and the 2kg, so no, it doesn’t 😄
  2. No, on this release it was one per household. You need a second address. If you did it they would likely cancel one of the orders.
  3. Amazing, just entered the queue againto see … nearly 10,000 still in 🤯
  4. Agee 100% - They'll probably have to go more into patterns and medals though?
  5. yes, just added to my original post, sorry. I meant the Wyon issues being a trilogy is a new thing, I think
  6. the video I thought was intentionally unclear. I initially took it as the series being a trilogy, but If it is a "Wyon Trilogy" and they move onto another engraver then thats something they've just made up I think, or I haven't see it mentioned before. Makes sense with it being a "Great Engravers" series though
  7. Just a thought based on an observation from the last Great Engravers release, it would be nice if some were a bit more sensitive to the pressure and stress others will be feeling in the morning pre release, posts about refreshing windows etc are very distressing for those unacustomed or those who aren't too confident about what's about to happen (bottom line is don't refresh once you're in the line). No doubt page after page will be generated here with people burning nervous energy, but in the interest of being friendly and supportive of everyone else, please don't give advice unless you are 100% certain it is sound or make statements that could be easily misunderstood under pressure before the release. The post by one of the members here for early access on the sovereign release day was an absolute gem of a tip (sorry I can't remember who it was) and it helped a lot of people, but if something like that was done in the morning that wasn't genuine just to try and knock a few out of the system it would be very bad sport. It happened last time, i'm not sure if it was meant to be misleading or well meaning, but it caused some good people additional anxiety and perhaps cost them the coin they wanted. At the end of the day, there are going to be thousands of people and hundreds of dealers, globally trying to get the coins, knocking a few out here is going to make absolutely no difference to any chance you have of getting one. Good luck all 👍
  8. Agreed, just about every thread ive read has talked about this release at some point even if completely off topic. I think we’ve had a mixed year really in terms of all modern coins, but im hoping this release will put it back on track and settle the uncertainty a bit. The Una was a well know and recognised coin before and has done amazingly well, the three graces is now, because of the series, but prior to that it wasn’t really a well known or loved coin (seems weird now, but 3G was a true pattern not common or well known), the Gothic Crown on the other hand is obviously extremely well known and loved, so even though the mintages may be a bit higher, the demand will be there I think and perhaps people will be less willing to let it go for a quick profit which will push the desirability and value up quickly. If people do flip quick en masse then the rise will be slower but will ultimately get to the same point whatever that is I think. Im still not convinced a 2 coin set was a good idea but lets see. My expectation Is that the gold coins that do come to market will be one or the other and will sit quite separately and have their own value and following. Thats the case on every set ever produced in the past anyway, but granted this is a bit different. good luck everyone, its going to be a lovely coin whatever you get!
  9. Im an avatar of a microphone on a forum, it’s unlikely i’ll give you that 😄. But the language and arrogance of some towards what is a large, experienced and knowledgeable group, who once contributed heavily on this forum is now often intentionally framed in a way to simply inflame people and only used to incite arguments. Grading / slabbing doesn’t necessarily add value and isnt why many of us do it and it is that attack and arrogance that I take exception at. Not that long ago, had this topic been genuinely for simple discussion and probably a new thread started, many more would have contributed. But those people have stopped and are starting to drift away or just sit in the sidelines wondering why im bothering even replying to the topic again here. I would also hate to see only graded coins sold by the mint or dealers, but I don't see that happening. Its been going on a lot longer in the US for example, and you can still buy raw proofs there if you want direct from the mint(s) and there are collectors of both graded and not. your comment about the slabbed coin is fair enough, i’ve never had a problem with anyone who chooses not to grade. As mentioned, its the attack and spiteful accusations thrown around towards those that do that I dislike and once would simply not have occurred here or if it did it would have been objected to by all groups, but ‘we’ seem to becoming something quite unpleasant and beyond the tolerance of a lot. You see the irony of this statement against the rest of your post don’t you? Thanks 🙄
  10. Some dealers do, surely thats down to what sort of buyers you have coming to you and what your business model is? personally if its a coin I'm after i’ll buy it slabbed or not if the price reflects the coins value to me, i’ll then slab it if its not as that's what I collect (which seems to be often forgot or not appreciated in these ‘debates’, once a coin is slabbed it doesn't mean it then enters a continous cycle of being sold and bought, it goes into collection like any other coin raw or not.) The risk for someone who intends to sell after grading is always that if you dont get 70 on the modern coins then realistically (a few exceptions) there isnt a premium over whatever the raw price is. And worth noting that there are a lot of coins in 70 grade that dont sell for any more or less than their raw counterparts do as they simply aren’t widely sort after. in terms of the 2022 sovereign, a 70 will get a premium over raw and a 69 is likely to sell at or slightly under raw. I find the whole graded vs not graded discussion is now just used by some to incite arguments and divide the forum community with witless and arrogant comments. Its not hard really and even for the witless, surely they can appreciate and simply accept some might actually prefer their coins slabbed. Thats not directed at any dealer, but one or two individuals on here now who beat the same drum day after day, post after god awful post. while im on, regarding the whole flipping debate, flip away I say and get what you can. If there is a buyer at the level you are asking then why not, its how everything works. Pretty sure those complaining about the flippers wouldn’t make the reverse argument if a coin is being offered to them below market rate.
  11. No, I see the royal coat of arms of the UK, re-designed by Timothy Noad for 2022 on a gold proof sovereign. Which has a long history of being adopted and adapted for the sovereign. Edit: Post cleaned. In reflection I apologise to the respectable members of this forum for my uncalled-for outburst in this thread. Im like a moth to the flame and unable to control myself. What @CollectorNo1does in the pockets of his tracksuit bottoms is none of my business.
  12. Id had the same thought, but then they included the 1989?
  13. Yeah, I do agree but it genuinely doesn't bother me like it does others
  14. having seen the design now and looking at the "artists impressions" that have been put in this thread over the last few weeks, I personally don't think anyone who had privileged and embargoed information has broke the rules when it came to the design. Its nice and Timothy Noad has done a bit more than tweaked it imo. Its going to fly isn't it.... 🙂
  15. yeah I noticed that, bit odd or some site developer will be getting a "ukking sort it out" call about now 😁
  16. in fairness, im more drawn to it than I thought I was going to be. fills the coin lovely and it will sit splendid alongside the other special reverses. good luck tomorrow everyone
  17. Its maybe just a start, but could be worth contacting the mint: https://www.towermint.co.uk/project/2018-isle-of-man-angel/ prior to towermint having the contract the angels were minted by pobjoy, up until 2016: https://www.pobjoy.com/blog/post/the-last-of-the-angels1 nice coin.
  18. Happy birthday 🎂… but dont play the martyr, you know what you are doing, you’re just not as good at it as you think, most of us just ignore it normally.
  19. Are you asking me if attacked is a very offensive word? The forum filter is normally pretty good and catches most offensive words like, ****, k******d, etc. Sorry if i offended your delicate feelings.
