Took me just under 2years from first to last so not too bad. I think the full sovereigns are going to take me about another 4 years to complete (only have 10 so far). 😂

Yea I’ve seen the ones you mean I’ve thought about it but I’ve currently got lots of ngc boxes so that suffices for the time being. Will have to see for the future, depends how big the collection gets 😂

Nope they didn’t mint any half sovereigns that year for whatever reason.

Sadly they only see the light of day when a new addition is added, it’s something to behold all laid out like that though. The full sovereigns are proving to be much more of a long term challenge…

It’s great now I’m up to date I only have to worry about the new release each year 😀

Nice BU 1887 Crown

I thought it was surprising the sovereign and crown weren’t higher up the list but then again the 50p and £5 are more affordable and for the masses, people I know who don’t really like coins still collect 50ps etc

How many 1000 years have precious metals been a form of currency or value, if crypto made PM worthless after all this time I’d be seriously worried.

The status of my crown has changed too but can’t see any tracking info

At least the silver is consistent at just under £600 for all sales I’ve seen.

As the old saying goes normally if somethings to good to be true…. There may well be some legitimate coins there, the ones that are supposed to be silver can you you verify the size and weight to check they’re correct. Do they have that silver ‘ring’ sound, maybe post individual pictures of coins and some members can give you more insight. As they’re mostly foreign coins its not really my area. There’s some helpful members here and sure someone can be of assistance with extra pictures…

It’s hard to say, I often see lots like this where they will put a fake rare coin in with several legitimate coins in an attempt to bump up the value. Normally the real coins are just base metal. House clearance coins finds 😂 Where did you acquire these from?

Chards have various 1oz minty silver bullion in stock from £24.31 which seems reasonable.

Your easiest option would be to send it to Louise @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctions that way all you have to worry about is the grade 😂
