A big thanks to @morezone for this beauty. I kick myself for not buying  before brexit ?. A few times I had them in my cart but just didn't press the confirm button ??. I didn't realise they had so much detail and if any coin deserves a proof version it is this one.

Also another Canadian silver proof dollar to my collection ?.

I'm new to sovereigns/half sovs so if anyone can tell me anything of interest about these two it would be appreciated.  Bought them from HGM.

The three coin Icelandic Settlement set with the gold 0.4485oz 10000 Kronur.
I got the set for about spot but it's still a shame the OMP has split.

Took the kids Alton Towers today and instead of missing the Apmex order I got my dad to house sit for it.
2014 1oz Gold Canadian 5 Blessings - Been after this for a while and back when it was released there were very few places stocking it.  Just like the RAM kangaroo and Lunar Series, this was also distributed by PAMP.
2016 1/4 Queen's Beast - One for myself and some for fellow forum members.  Lion is mint and obverse seems fine apart from some hazing around the outer edge.  I've noticed this with the 2oz silver ones too but they seem to be affected on the reverse.

I received a few additions today. Nothing rare but I was happy to find the 2014 Horse privy Maple in stock at the same place as the other two. I put the Queen's Beast into a 2oz high relief capsule for safe keeping. It's not an exact fit but better than nothing at all.

1/4 1984 Gold Panda.  Older fractional Pandas can be quite expensive so I'm happy to pickup fair priced 2nd choice as long as they're in decent condition.

If you go by that definition then its a bull market. Ill take it.
Looks like Yellen has been talking about increased odds of a rate rise in September (before the election really?) and gold has moved up. The market finally calling her bluff? Or did someones algo press buy instead of sell by mistake?

Fair enough. I personally find that any point of view or opinion when it comes to TA is relevant so long as it can be demonstrated. Whether it is sloppy support or trend lines, or more methodical Elliot wave, I treat them all equally - with a large pinch of salt. Since the accuracy record of TA is as good as flipping a coin anyway its best not to worry too much. Its useful perhaps as an additional tool when used along side the analysis of other events and trends, but to take it on its own, whether short term precision TA or long term sloppy TA, perhaps not so useful.
Also anything that balances the view point of 'the only way is up' can be useful for other more human reasons. All just imo.

I actually just heard about that on the iGold youtube channel, he mentioned that September is particularly bullish because of the leadup for the wedding and/or Monsoon season in India.
    So I found some related articles on that;

People who recite this are just sloppy TAs. While it is true that you CAN draw a line on the gold chart that hasn't yet been broke to the upside,, that only connects 2 datapoints, so people who are saying this are effectively saying that all the price action and subsequent lower highs are not significant despite them connecting far more datapoints.
you can equally show on the very long term chart that the bull market that started in 2001 was never broken to the downside, and therefore we have technically been in an uptrend between 2011-2015. Again, pretty sloppy TA because it ignores a lot of relevant data and price action.

Just bear in mind that on the technical side with gold we have still not seen a break of the long term downtrend that started at the last peak all those years ago, despite several recent attempts, which just leaves us sat here wondering which way its going. Until it rises above that level then technically speaking gold's long term downtrend is not broken and it is still in a downtrend. Given the economic backdrop though I don't really see how we can be in anything but an uptrend for PM's unless there is something I am not seeing which is likely to be fair.
The strength of gold price has also been a positive indication during the large recent selling given the amount of selling taking place. This at a time of year when gold is weakest - July/August are historically the worst times of year for gold and despite this it held up well. September is the strongest time of year so next month will be the test. I expect the downtrend to be broken once and for all next month if it is going to happen at all. Just my opinion, I am usually wrong.
This correction was needed its a been a long time coming, too long for me as I gave up waiting for it and allocated all of my funds elsewhere so can't take advantage!

Been a text book correction - this sub $19 move has been very healthy.
We just about touched the 89d ma this week and the longer term 144d ma has begun to move up nicely behind. Very oversold in the short term now, so whatever Yellen says today I think the spot price is going to do what it wants to and either put in a final short term bottom if its hawkish, or move markedly higher if is dovish.
I know some people will be frustrated that we're down 15% from the most recent highs, but if you look at silver's history this is a very standard move and paves the way for much higher moves in the coming 12-24 months.

This arrived today. Really nice. 2016 silver proof Britannia and reverse frosted proof presentation set. First of its kind and impressive in hand. The outer box is jet black and sleek. There is no garish labelling on the lid....very nice touch. Inner box looks sumptuous. According to Apmex, there are only 7 sets left.
7000 mintage of the proof coin.
    500 presentation sets.
500 reverse proof coins (only to be had in these sets).
