  1. I think they're struggling to shift this one, as I've just had my first ever call from the Mint, reminding me it was available and that I haven't bought it yet. Personally, I think this one will be available in the secondary market well below £850, but I've been wrong before. I don't tend to look at dealer's sites, as the prices are usually well above what I'm willing to pay.
  2. 25 x Sovereign (22 x screw, 3 x push) 5 x Double Sovereign (3 x screw, 2 x push) 2 x 1 oz silver proof (screw) 2 x 1/10 gold (screw) £75 posted UK shipping only. Thanks Peter
  3. The price increases on these over the last couple of years is ludicrous. I won't be adding this one. It's the same price as the SOTD Coronation sovereign, which is clearly the more desirable coin.
  4. These will fit the RCM bars, at least they did last time - I used them for the same bars myself.
  5. These are hard to come by cheaply, so I usually buy in bulk, this kind of thing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255782218646?hash=item3b8dceeb96:g:-~8AAOSwv2ZjTm1s
  6. It's worth making clear that the Perth Mint is the more well known / popular of the Lunar coins and we are now on the 3rd Series. Although the RAM has a Lunar Series, it is better known for the annual Kangaroo coins.
  7. @Panda6Pack I'll take the Bull if still available. Thanks
  8. TBH - I was looking at the 2 and 5. The difference between 9000 and 13000 for the sovereign doesn’t seem that significant to me. Demand won’t be that high at > £700.
  9. Mintages are similar to 2019, which has not been a winner yet, although a lot has happened since then.....
  10. You've been a little unlucky in my view - up until a couple of months ago, a 10 oz bar below £240 would have been snapped up on here (often by me), but the market (if not necessarily the spot price) has taken another downwards turn. However, eBay prices are still largely above £250 with postage. Personally, I would never sell 999 silver at only 20% above spot, as this basically means you are selling with no premium. I work on the basis that spot price for 999 silver in the UK should always include 20% VAT as a baseline, which is what you would have to pay if you were buying from a dealer. I think it's important that both parties get something from a transaction, it can't all be in the buyers favour, so I usually start with an offer 25% above spot. Based on the current spot price of £18.60, that would be £232.50. If you are willing, I will take a bar for £235 posted.
  11. I got very excited until I spotted that they are £9 each. Should have known really…
  12. You have a point, as the scratches were not visible on the advert photo. In fairness the seller has agreed to a return, as I only purchased with grading in mind.
  13. Cleaned or not? Was hoping to upgrade from my low AU example, but am now doubtful, as many hairlines.
  14. Variety of used capsules available: 37 x 2 oz Silver Libertad (49 mm) - £20 18 x 50p - SOLD 13 x Sovereign / 1/4 oz Brit - £10 13 x Screw Cap for £2 Silver Proof - £15 3 x Push Cap (old style) for £2 Silver Proof - £6 5 x 10 Oz Silver Kookaburra - £15 30 x Quadrum Capsule (38-40 mm, mostly 38 mm) - £20 All prices include shipping.
  15. I've had a raw one on eBay (and on here briefly) at £1275 (and accepting offers) for a few weeks, with no interest at all. Long term, I think the premium for these will return, but not in the current market. I'll be holding if nobody wants to pay my minimum. If I had a PF70, I don't think I'd be selling it in this market.
  16. That’s tricky! I’d narrow it down to: Spitfire, Pepys Diary, Wedgewood, FA Cup (Liverpool won it that year 🙂).
  17. 2021 2 oz Britannia Silver Proof PF69UC - £150 2022 2 oz Britannia Silver Proof PF69UC - £150 2022 2 oz Henry VII Silver Proof PF70UC - £260 1963 Sovereign MS64 - £415 All prices posted, payment by bank transfer.
  18. Just the first one. I keep it very simple. I have a maximum I will go to for any given coin. I don’t understand how telling somebody that I intend to bid on it would help me.
  19. Most people are skint Lots of royal events happening at once have understandably saturated the sovereign / proof coin market (some definite long-term winners though) It's currently a buyer's market (in everything - whisky, watches, furniture etc., not just coins) If you can afford to buy now, do so If you can afford to hold, do that also
