Well you could currently sell 48 1g bars a year ( £62 each ) before worrying about the CGT threshold.
But you could also sell multiple sovereigns/other CGT free coins without worrying at all.
Just remember if a sovereign becomes more expensive, then so does a 1g bar ( infact the 1g bar becomes even more expensive due to higher premium out the gate)
TLDR: just buy whatever your budget allows and worry about selling when the time comes.

With gold getting more and more expensive, and what with CGT allowance soon being lowered to £3000, are 1 gram bars a worthy investment?
    Thoughts please.

Any gold that you can afford and looks reasonably cheap compared to 1ozs when it comes to selling is well worth buying!🤔😮

No im afraid not.  I could suggest things but I don’t honestly have a definitive rationale.

I couldn't agree more that voting makes no difference, because they're all singing from the same song sheet on a global scale, as was so blatantly demonstrated during the covid farce, and no matter who you vote for, you will always get more of the same.
However, a spoilt ballot paper is supposedly still counted.    You could speculate that they count the spoilt papers to keep tabs on the level of discontent from the plebs, and to forewarn if the numbers get too great and become a possible threat.
This time I intend to spoil my paper and make it crystal clear that I do not consent to any of it, and will not under any circumstances choose parasite A, B, C, or D to lord it over me while he/she/it runs off with all the tax revenue in his/her/its pocket, while bending all the rules or making up new ones to benefit themselves, illegal immigrants, the police, and other criminals .
I don't expect spoiling my paper to make any difference other than to put me on a government list of possible subversives on a home office computer somewhere.
There is another likely scenario, and that is that the entire thing is rigged to provide the desired outcome every time regardless. We know it's rigged to the benefit of the main two by the FPTP system, but even with that safeguard in place,  I suspect there are further manipulations that go on to ensure pole position is always passed only between Labour and Conservative - consider the South Thanet scenario in 2015 for example.  Missing ballot boxes my left bollock...  !
This is way off topic. Gold is about to punch through the £1800 mark. .....    And no one seems to know what's driving it....🤔

Purchase a membership and buy/sell on here. Your first few trades will likely require you to post first to established members ( just like you would a dealer)
Speaking of dealers, you will only ever get close to spot price if selling to them. Only really viable if spot jumped dramatically and you were happy with the gains.

The website gives history of the original Oxford Mint but of course this new company has no connection whatsoever . The are not based in Oxford , not minted in Oxford have nothing to do with Oxford other than use the name. I live and work there and know every business in town. To call yourself the reincarnation of the Oxford mint  surely you think they would have some connection with the town . So it is blatant false advertising  . Considering what they are selling that would be a huge red flag for me. The goods may be perfectly genuine, but they may as just as well called themselves the Gateshead mint.

I think I might start a brand of Bratwurst, manufacture them in Oxford, call them Arthur Harris’s bangers and sell them to the Germans!

The Royal Mint is a wholly government-owned organisation, any commercial damage to it would, in turn, be mirrored by its sole beneficial owner, HM Treasury
Why should we pay to keep the Germans in business when we're already paying through the nose to keep the lights on at The Royal Mint?
As for CGT, the King of the UK of GB & NI is the only authorised issuer of UK legal tender coins/bars via Royal Proclamation. Have you got a direct line to KCIII?

Let’s face it, Oxford Mint sounds awfully British, but technically it’s an Anglo-Saxon production!
    Anyway, I’ve already got a hundred of these - I can’t be bothered with 1 gram tiddlers!….
