2012 proof sovereign, sadly not FDC but bought as bullion.
2002 proof Alderney "sovereigns", I quite like these, nice design.

I received 2 half shields from HGM a couple of days ago. One is a fairly worn 1885 young head with a nasty ding at the 1 o'clock on the obverse but otherwise ok, the second is also an 1885 young head but was clearly an ex mount with severe rim damage on both sides, to the point the bottom half of the date is missing. I have sent the second one back this morning, either for a swap or a refund, probably the latter given how rarely they get them in. Lesson learned here chaps - if you get the chance (doubtful) call to ask condition first, or you run the risk of paying a 15% premium for damaged coins and end up out of pocket paying for return postage. For me that is too high a price to risk when better condition coins can be found on Ebay for a similar price for example. Watching eBay like a hawk all day is also not required.  
Fair play to HGM for offering a refund though.

Today i received an NGC graded coin, thanks to Numistacker. Some of you may have seen the video he has put on youtube. If not i suggest you do! Lots of other people there had some great results, with an amazing result for Numi.
I am really really happy with the grade this coin got (over the moon in fact). I purchased this coin raw for £65, the last time one of these sold was in 2012 in the USA for $1200+. Not a bad case for grading i feel. Only 10 in the world graded at this level.
I cant thank Numistacker enough for taking the time to help me in this.

I firmly believe that JH shields do not warrant the same 15% premium as do the YHs. I have had this conversation with them recently but as I'm the only one who has voiced this opinion, and most others are happy to pay the premium, they will continue. It would be more work for them to split the two categories.
Whether others agree with me and may wish to voice that opinion, is obviously up to them.

Just ordered up a 1/10 BU mouse to replace the proof mouse in the 1/10th lunar set I have.
The most expensive 1/10 coin to date - £280 from Australia, hope to god I dont get hit with import duty on top

just put in a 8500 Euro offer on a 2016 150g Gold proof Panda on ebay.
The company has it on their website for 8500 Euro but more expensive on ebay (same company) so if they match their website price its mine
Only bought it on ebay as their website is all in German so hard to understand.

Great set and with the original cert

A lot of various coins from an auction at the big city. Mostly low value early 80's commemorative silver coins from royal Mint and others. 

Now here is why I went for it:

Silver and brass 1983 panda set with CoA. Didn't come cheap have to admit but still a good deal I believe. There is a bit of toning on both coins but otherwise they are in good shape.

The 2016 gold panda proofs should be an option in next few weeks

Picked up an 1887 Sovereign. It's my first Jubilee head. Has a nice lustre.
