  1. I checked my notes - 2008 had a full range of piedforts. It may very well be that you have a 1/10 disguised as a 1/20
  2. I am not sure I recall a 1/20 piedfort - that doesnt mean it didnt exist, as all the other denominations certainly existed as a piedfort. I have a 1/10 that is actually double size and its really a 1/5 despite being stamped as 1/10. Isle of man dont release mintage numbers or details regularly which means its hard to tell which years had piedfort proofs. A side profile photo would certainly help.
  3. They refine via Umicore and then pour the bars themselves.
  4. I know the makers of these bars. I was the person behind them initially. They sell around £75- 80 on average
  5. Lol it’s lighter than my other one which is solid. This new ones is made of hollow links to reduce weight but not size. The older one is 500gm or so
  6. Interestingly, Some 2000-2007 sovs I have, when exposed to prolonged sunlight do become more "yellow". Will see if I can dig out a couple of the examples I have.
  7. I get loads of coins as a dealer- cost me about 5% over spot
  8. Two low mintage sovereign alternatives.quite pleased to add both to my sovereign varieties collection
  9. Been a while since I added anything interesting to the stack. These LMUS were nice to get to extend my variety. The Swiss one is practically mint state.
  10. I second BYB - they make stamps that come out very clear.
  11. I believe it has to do with too many refiners were melting sovereigns when gold was in high demand recently. We arent the only ones.
  12. We have been specifically asked to record this unfortunately
  13. We would keep at same price as long as we aren’t making a loss. we would record them separately in our books
  14. HMRC requires us to record bought prices and from whom and where they were sold and how much for. Most days we hedge, however if gold drops a fair bit, we may take that batch out of circulation and in long term storage. If we have to sell at a loss, we mark it against that batch.
  15. Nose is too sharp. I see that a lot with the Chinese ones
  16. Minimum £30 an oz in the @BackyardBullion pyramid flag bar it varies £27-30
