But is there a reasonable pub just round the corner?
  3. BUGGER, just when I was going to buy at the weekend
  4. He looks like Action Man, she like the time the wife's face caught fire and I put it out with a spade
  5. Looks like HGM have 1oz silver Brits at £23.87, as far as I can make out anyway https://www.hattongardenmetals.com/10z-silver-britannia-bullion
  6. You could give those coppers to the KBF, a very worthy charity. Of course the KBF does stand for Kev's Beer Fund!
  7. The Royal Mint have a collection of World Coins for sale. https://www.royalmint.com/shop/coin-sets/Flagship-Coins-of-the-World-1oz-Silver-Bullion-Coin-Set/
  8. There are coins which are minted by national mints, and each year these mints produce a different dated coin the same design, correct? These coins includes ones like the Britannia from the UK, ASE from the US, Maple Leaf from Canada, I think you get the idea. A goodly number of stackers/collectors consider these world coins. My question is, can coins like the Armenian Noah's Ark and the Somalia Elephant be classed as world coins? They are made each year, nut not minted by those countries, but on their behalf. Also, Aus makes the Kookaburra and Koala each year, do these count?
  9. Well we all know that many mints produce their own coins and they can be classed as world coins. Yet which ones truly are? Yes, the Britannia, ASE, Maple Leaf, Kangaroo and Panda will fit in no probs but others, when does the line end? I should think the Noah's Ark, Philharmonic and Krugerrand must count. What of the Niue Turtle and Owl, or the Somalian Elephant, of indeed the Kook, Koala, Canada's wildlife or the Royal Arms and Valiant? Do they count? Over to you and type about this for a bit.🙂
  10. Not so sure about the price of a Sov is really the right question, more like what else could you buy for the same money? You can buy a 2 bed hose in Hull for around 200 Sov's, going to need a bit of work, but nothing major. In X years that same house may cost 100 Sov's

I've been there a number of times. A big plus is they take cash, a bigger plus is if there could be a bit of a wait, you get a cup of tea!
  12. Could well be a non government mint. These are a 'special' mintage and 'collectors items'. Designed to lure in those who know very little about, in the case, silver. If you can pick one on these up for a little over spot, go for it. Just MVHO
  13. On the upside, I found a fiver under my bed!
  14. As a Kev of little brain, me is athinking could there be a clear coat or a varnish of some sort, and that is peeling off?
  15. I could of course, however paypal owes me money and won't return it
  16. As the title. I have a full set, all 11, though no box. Yet I haven't seen a box that carry hold all 11 as yet. The prices I have seen on fleabay are all over the place Lion of England at £99 to Griffin at well over £100, yet Falcon at £65. So, if i chose to sell a full set at £795 or more? Type about this for a while.😀
  17. I don't 'do' proofs or indeed have any, but as others have pointed out if you can buy at spot or less you're on a winner. Silver is sliver at the end of the day
