  1. Half mail coat over a arming shirt, Steel helmet, with nose guard, 'kite shield' or round shield, lance and arming sword. Or just have a look at the Bayeux Tapestry
  2. Bareback, not really there would have been a saddle of sorts, even just a towel sized bit of leather which won't be seen as such. Also saddles as we know them didn't come in until the invention of the stirrup, which in turn didn't come to the Byzantine Empire until the late 6th century
  3. Another answer form Metro! If coins are classed as collector items it's a yes you can. However, they still have to speak to the manager of my local branch
  4. I'm on the phone, well hold, to them as I type
  5. I went into the Metro Bank HQ in Southampton Row London and asked face to face. The answer was no, and big no at that. Coins that are no longer legal tender are still not allowed to be stored. I pointed out that the policy was no cash, older coins are no longer cask, still a no. What's the point?
  6. Yep, that is what I asked, yet a different answer
  7. I went in to Metro bank in the week, it's now no cash at all, including coin collections!
  8. Where do they get the box from, and how much? I'd even pay £6 for one of them!
  9. Grading companies have 'too much power', what they say goes and I've never heard of them saying there were wrong. If NCG say this coin is a 67 and PCGS say 65, one of them must be wrong. 40 years ago there was no such thing (as such). Only in the last 10-15 years it has become important. The only thing they are good for is saying the coin is real
  10. There was a mintage of 2021 £2 coins but have yet to be seen in the wild
  11. So, when they're not in the ring this is what the Blackpool Combat Club do? There I was thinking that William Regal was in charge, but now I come to find out it is @LawrenceChard
  12. Make an offer, and buy it for someone you don't like
  13. Uzi 9mm? WOT? Ever fired one? Couldn't hit the side of a barn if you're in it. On the other hand, you could borrow my rifle. A good solid bit of kit, a Pattern 1853 Enfield calibre .577 (14.7mm)
  14. Better pics Plus a now complete Machin bullion date run
  15. That would be something like 375 oz's, to get to £10,000 plus going to need a big bag
