Today I bought a 1924 Russian 50 kopeks silver coin for my curiosity collection.

5 carded Roos appeared today, 2 from Germany 3 from Aus
 
 

Today I bought a 2007 Solomon Islands silver proof ten dollar Royal train coin. Similar in shape to a 50 pence piece and is sterling silver. 
Not a usual choice of coin but it has got an image of a class 67 loco that I have worked on.
I'm sure I could sell it for a small profit to a spotter but I'll most probably keep it.

Both of the 'Guardian Angel' type. Very happy at £146.03 each landed.

Put a 1oz maple beside them for reference to the thickness.
I prefer this size coin to the 1oz version as it has a more solid feel to it.

Yes, I totally agree.
The 1.5oz coins like this multi-maple and the polarbear are chunky,
the bison at 1 and a quarter is good too.
I put a comparison pic up before.

These odds and ends.

Good goal to aim for. I'm only at 2 1/4 oz of gold but it's only since joining this forum that I bothered about gold. I did have an original goal of 200 ounces of silver but I'm at 300 ounces now. I've got another 23 years to go before retiring, unless I cash in earlier if the prices go to the moon:-)
