  1. This is the small version as when I looked it up, there appears to be a bigger one available. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one now.
  2. I transferred 100 Euros to top up my Croatian Kuna's and they charged me a small fee. Saves paying the exchange rate at the till, which usually is higher.
  3. Picked these up on a market stall in town this morning and I especially like the 1902 coronation medal. Hadn't seen one before until today.
  4. You can use a Wise card, formerly known as Transfer wise. Convert your dollars into Euros on the app. You get a cheaper exchange rate than a bank.
  5. Seller claiming 10% of sale supports charity. How generous of them😂
  6. They've been in business for a while now.
  7. I bought two from the mint and they were marked. I'll more than likely give them away at Christmas to family members as I'm sure they won't be too fussy or even notice. Not that it makes it any better as the Royal Mint need to sort their quality control out. If you return them you either get your money back or a high chance of getting other marked coins.
  8. Shame the Chinese didn't make theirs 25 gram so you could stack an exact kilo of coins if they prefer metric weights. I might be developing ocd now!
  9. Having 15 in a tube makes it easier when there are multiple tubes for counting how many ounces there are. 16 was a bit odd to have in a tube of 1/10 oz's as was having 19 for the 1/4 oz's. Almost as odd as the Chinese panda's being dropped down to 30 grams. Makes it harder trying to keep a tally of exactly how many ounces you have.
  10. You're right. I was looking at the wrong item on my invoice, doh!
  11. Think they've sold out of the 1/4oz now.
  12. I've noticed they put up the price of a tube since last week as well.
  13. I'm wondering why the Royal Mint has decided to only put 15 coins into the tubes for the 2023 1/10oz silver Britannias compared to previous years where they had 16 but I can't think why they decided to. Any ideas why?
  14. Check ebay for coin prices then add a few quid on maybe for the brooches. That's my best guess at the value of these.
  15. Today these 2023 lol (last of Lizzie) Britannia's arrived. I had to double check the tube of 1/10oz Brits as I thought they were 5p pieces. The 1oz are typical poor bullion standard from the Royal Mint with small scratches to her face on both of them.

  18. Only went into my local bullion dealers to see what silver coins he had and ended up buying this 2018 piedfort proof sovereign. He threw the silver Britannia in for free.
  19. https://www.geiger-edelmetalle.de/en/copper-bar-geiger-original-5000-g-cast-.9999-1321004.html Here's a nice 5kg bar. Must be a new design as I've got the previous 5kg bar they sold which I bought when we were in the EU. Wouldn't mind getting this but I'd have to ask them about postage to the UK which probably isn't too good these days.
  20. Lower mintage on the first compared to higher for the later ones? Were the greyhound churned out in huge numbers as in change of sales tactics by the Royal Mint?
  21. I thought the Royal Mint collaborated with the London Mint with these portaits. They're terrible. I managed to get a silver proof 50p but card payment crashed, eventually went through after five attempts.
  22. Around five years ago I was browsing on ebay and showing a work colleague how some people push up bids on their own coins. I placed a bid and it kept on jumping up on a 1oz silver libertad, one from the eighties I think. As it climbed near £60 I said to my colleague that I'll leave him with his own high bid but he stopped short at the last 20 minutes leaving me as the highest bidder. Egg on face and a battered looking coin came through the post a few days later. That'll teach me
