You are correct, however the US still does export some of it's inflation. By destroying the Euro and the Pound, we are still forced to buy dollars as it is the best of a sh*t pile. But it won't last, but they will have support for longer than we think. But as the saying goes... "slowly at first, then all at once"

The US thought it could out counterfeit print/spend China, export inflation, counterfeiting however is a arena in which China excels, can out print and buy US treasury's in equal measure, and additionally gold on top, firmly returning the ball into the US court. The grand final will be who actually holds the physical gold, if/when there is a gold-rush to convert 120 times more paper gold into physical gold. Those who built upon paper gold foundations will bid up physical gold to buy or die prices. The trick for those holding physical will be not to sell too much too quickly, even when prices may seem high. It's interesting to hear all this we will, we wont, we will, we wont, be cutting rates three months from now etc.  It's all so reminiscent of the QE taper talk a few years back.  Such complete fakery where good economic news was bad news because it might jeopardise fed handouts.  It's all such nonsense.

A close tonight above £1,875 would be incredible after yesterday's inflation print. I would not be surprised to see £1,900 (officially) by tomorrow.

Price just holding at the top of this range.  I'm kind of amazed that it didn't descend after yesterday, but it tried to and failed, so it has to try to rise again instead.  Maybe this will fail too, and we'll be back to try the bottom of the range again next.  I'm still amazed at the decouple from the USD.  Not sure what's caused that.
