I was trying to sell the lot on Facebook on a dedicated 50p group, but they told me that they are face value only better to do shopping with them.
I said, OK, please let me know where I can buy more of this face value 50p coins, I was inundated by offers over PM, all of them at least £1 per coin.
When I try to sell them they are at face value, when you want to buy them they are at least 100% more expensive.
In my experience on eBay, I used to get around 75% more than face value so I will keep them for a while.

@HonestMoneyGoldSilverso should I buy or wait for an incoming dip? Serious question. Need to fill up my coronation sov tube before premiums get crazy.

It's a race on the technical charts between $1930 and $2080. The $2000/oz level is an important psychological threshold. If 1930 wins then it's back to 1800. If 2080 wins then it's 2300+. Of course technical analysis is mostly nonsense, for a single data point you'd get roughly the same accuracy flipping a coin.
My prediction for early 2024 was for gold to meander above $2000/oz indefinitely before picking up steam later in the year
It's China who is driving markets right now, not so much the Houthis or Iran. For this year's CNY there is more liquidity and open markets than in previous years. The Chinese financial system is crashing, they've lost $6 trillion since 2021, and one of the reactions to this is for local, regional and national banks to stack gold. The ordinary citizen is also encouraged to stack gold. This year instead of giving only cash (which they're losing faith in) in the red envelopes, some will choose to give gold instead or a combination of gold and cash
