Anyone who buys a gauge before Friday 29th September 9pm will be given an opportunity to win 1 of only 2 in the world (as far as I know), 3d printed Sovereign Scale.
This was done as a challenge project to see if I can make one and to work. Only two made as they were never going to be made for sale as everyone uses digital scales.
NOTE: Anyone who has previously bought a Sovereign gauge will also have a chance to win.
I will write a question 9pm Friday and the winner will be announced Saturday evening.

Or buy his 1980 and then just look for the 82 COA

WizardOfSov reacted to Spyder in Sovereign Gauge £15 posted
This all started when I saw all those fake sovereigns being sold on eBay week in week out. There are many newbies on eBay and including on this forum that do not know an easy way to tell a good sovereign and a fake. Not everyone will have a Sigma Verifier or would want to invest that much.
Looking at what is available , I came up with this and priced cheaper then anything on the market. Not only cheaper but much better with also a useful extra added feature. It is only slightly bigger then a business card so should be easy to carry around. Give one to someone who has just started and useful if finding sovereign for sale in bootfair/ sales etc. No need to carry calipers. If coin don't fit perfect in hole or slot, then likely a fake. The magnet is strong enough to lift up to 100g.
Measurements are based on the original Victorian design. Coin needs to fit perfect in the hole and flush with the rim. Anything not gold will have to be much wider or thicker. If it sticks to the magnet no need to test anymore.
This will do three of the five test required. The other two would be weight and checking with Loupe that the coin is not cast.
If anyone wants one. The first 16 are numbered and others not. Only one numbered per member, that means if you want to buy 2+ one would be numbered and others would be plain.
The numbered will go in order that someone asks for one. if anyone with a YouTube channel wants to feature on their site, then get in touch. Same goes for sellers with their own website.
If anyone wants to gift someone one of these and want to add their name, I can on the blank space where there is no number in the regular one. £2 extra.
