Spyder got a reaction from Aldebaran in GOLD DEALS - (UK & Europe) See a deal, post it here
On half, I will always double the price and decide. Do I think £32 over spot (sovereign) is a good deal, I would say not so I do not buy.

If the 1827 was priced the same a few £ over spot, regardless how much wear is on it, go buy it, stick it on eBay and buy yourself a nicer coins and make some profit in the outcome

Spyder reacted to Russell in Gold Monitoring Thread £ GBP only
Backyard Bullion did a great video on YouTube I think he has done them all now. All reviewers say that they are useless for Jewellery and you need an XRF machine. These PMV need flat surfaces relatively clean. They handle sovereigns great but throw a gold chain, rings and bracelets at it and it will shut itself down and go on strike.

I think it looks OK. The streaky appearance on similar dated coins has been questioned before on the forum but I can't find the post. @Allgoldcoins coins has some photos of an 1930-P coin with similar streaks here:

That is the problem, they can not test jewellery unless in bar size at least 22ct. Can not understand why they can not adapt the machine to test 9ct upwards

This must be one of reason why you were asking for new investment ideas a few month ago to probably get out of selling on here (or if forced to).
I remember a similar thing happening to Presley when he worked a way to sell cheap silver and he got hounded out. I know he case was slightly different as he had be previously been a banned member under a different name.

Spyder reacted to CoinCupboard in Sterling Silver - Kings & Queens of Great Britain Collection
A wonderful set of .925, medallions featuring the kings and queens of Great Britain.
Ranging from King William 1066 - Queen Elizabeth II.
These have been very well done, depicting the king or queen on obverse and feature coat of arms on the reverse.
24 of these proof medallions come capsuled in a nice wooden presentation box.
28.28g each of sterling silver and are all hallmarked. (Over £500 of silver content)
Nice condition with light handling marks on a few of them. (Pictured)
Also comes with a big folder of information about said kings and queens. C.O.A are there for every one, too.
Asking £500 posted for this lot Special Delivery. (Which is not far off £20 due to weight)
Bank transfer please.

Someone offered the £800 before silver's move yesterday and I have reserved it for them. If things change I'll list it again on the forum.
That said, I have a bullion Australian Koala $30 Coin (without a capsule) that I have said I'd offer Spyder so that he can have first refusal.

Spyder reacted to Dalriada83 in Silver Monitoring Thread £ (GBP) only.
I commiserate with you sir - my father was subject to an overzealous tax office minion acting on a 'tip-off'. He had done nothing wrong but it took his accountant and lawyer 5 years and considerable cost to prove it. I swear the stress of the continual aggravation took years off his life. I will never forgive or forget. Do not weaken sir and do not accept any 'deals' - rub their faces in your innocence and consult with your lawyer about getting a letter of apology from them when you are vindicated. That document will be invaluable in any future dealings with the b******s.
