  1. It's just not viable selling PMs on eBay without. A sovereign needs to get £465 to give you £399...That's insane. I wouldn't say it was being cheap, but that they are greedy. They likely have very little overhead; app maintenance, server costs, costs with partnering with payment systems like PayPal, but they want to charge you the same % as an auction house, which makes the listings for you and dispatches them on your behalf...Stupid. They had a revenue of $9.75 Billion in 2022. They paid out $419 million to shareholders in Q4.
  2. Yeah you have to make a point to list on the fee weekends. If people are listing stuff without them, eBay has no incentive to give you offers. If you list stuff regularly on the % off fees weekends, and never without, then they'd rather have some money than no money, and will likely keep giving you them.
  3. Great photo! Did you have fun trying to work with the mirror?
  4. I think I saw that copper round on one of BYBs videos, has a fantastic relief if I remember correctly!
  5. I don't think you're getting it. Reputation and rapport literally act as the cogs which allow the forum to work. There isn't going to be any interested buyers if not only are they overpriced, but the general attitude towards people trying to be genuinely helpful. If you listed them to clear at £1000, I still wouldn't buy one, because of how much of a charade this whole process has been. Some people may pay more for something on here for a seller, but that will be because said seller has established themselves as extremely reliable, trustworthy, and they know exactly what service they will get. Similarly, people may care less if the price is dirt cheap. I'm sure some people have bought from people they don't particularly agree with, but the feedback and proven track record mitigates this, as at the end of the day, it is a transaction. But I still am trying to be helpful, you are not selling these at that price. It doesn't matter how many times you bump it. You have 0 feedback, and after the resistance and arrogance towards members who wanted to help you - no one is going to want to take the risk, even if you massively reduced them now probably. This isn't eBay, you can't just list something for moonbeam prices and hope someone who doesn't know any better will click buy it now. People here are not so ignorant, so there's 0 point trying to be an eBay seller on here, you're only wasting your own time. My genuine advice, go back down. They weren't selling at £1200 and spot was higher, spot is now much lower, and you put them up. If you bought them for £1000 like you said, just list them for £1100-£1150, that's still at least £100 profit on each one
  6. Technically they are BU, so the strike and finish can likely come back as DPL, I only put it in there for about 20 seconds, finish remained shiny and reflective, but actual proof finishes are more intricate and fragile.
  7. You'll likely dull the proof finish, I'd only really recommend it on bullion coins! I experimented with a rather handled proof Oman sterling silver coin, and it became very dull
  8. Line a bowl with some kitchen foil, place the coin on it and cover it in some bicarb, then pour boiling water into the bowl and it will bubble up. Doesn't need long at all, the toning practically falls off
  9. I like this coin very much: the 2013 George and the Dragon £20. Half an ounce of .999 silver, 27mm diameter. Basically a silver double sovereign, courtesy of @silvergaga I had to give it a little bicarb foil bath, as it had heavy toning on the rim of the obverse, which I've noticed happens to quite a few of them in the OMP for some reason.
  10. Hey there, Elena is a respectable little fluff ball.
  11. Don't, one can only get so aroused.
  12. Bump, grab it cheap before we reach Moscow the moon!
  13. 1994 1/2 Oz platinum proof Noble. Lovely coin
  14. £7 post would be uninsured. You're looking at closer to £10
  15. I saw those, but Op was rude and wants spot Inc postage, so
  16. The orange line shows where we are now, for the last 6 months, gold has been above what it is now, except the brief dip indicated by the arrow. Everyone who has bought a 1oz Brit in the last 6 months would be selling at a loss for less than spot now. Those who held them for a while likely sold in the last few months when we were near ATH. Most of those Brits would have been several % above spot too. I wasn't going to say anything, but...he appeared to have unnecessarily, and aggressively insulted a member above, whilst trying to chance a mint coin under spot price, at the lowest it's been in months...so. if people are not respectful, then courtesy will not be given.
  17. Pamp 5g bar in the newer assay. £275 + post ( now £4.40 cheaper than Tavex)
  18. I enjoyed buying one of these for £20 more from Atkinsons 5 days ago. Such is the way, cracking price.
