  1. Got in...2oz gold and 1oz silver showed awaiting stock but it let me add to basket and check out. Money taken but no order number or email and the site is just buggy and crashing. No idea if I have the coins
  2. Now I know this is the last of a trilogy I am significantly more interested. I was starting to waver a little but I will be there 0830 with about 10 browsers running and everything crossed.
  3. But I thought diversity was our strength?
  4. 1500 quid premium on the 5 piece set...that does seem to be the current going rate, wonder how long that will stay the case? Seems to be a good demand, I'm surprised the 3 piece isn't carrying much of a premium. Where do people see the prices for these sets ending up?
  5. Same here unless we get a sneaky link before it goes live like the soverign
  6. I tried adding to basket just to see what happened and it has a price of 650 reccuring so I assume this is an error...may be worth a phone call in the morning though just in case
  7. I'm surprised by the lack of love these have gotten, I know coins are everyone's focus but they are really lovely. One of these bars was actually in my first ever gold order from the mint along with a brittania and a qb completer, I knew nothing about numismatics and had no intention of becoming a collector I just had a notion to buy some gold for a rainy day/emergency and picked the 3 nicest looking 1oz items....its amazing how quickly you get sucked in though, 9 months later I've spent way too much, read way too much and became a bit obsessed. Could be worse I suppose, imagine I'd decided to buy crack instead and make that my new hobby
  8. I'd be interested to know as well There's one on ebay for 1770 just now, so worth watching to see if it sells https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Una-the-Lion-1-Oz-one-ounce-gold-bar-minted-BNIP-bullion-999-9-fine-Limited-/194505952339?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  9. I have a meeting which begins at 0930 I can't get out of, I was a bit worried about being caught in the queue and missing my place....then I remembered it will be sold out 29 minutes before then anyway so nothing to worry about
  10. I am surprised there wasn't a 3 graces bar, I have the una bar and it's a lovely design. It seems like a cool partner piece to the series...have the traditional coin then mass produce a modern interpretation on a bar as a contrast with the bar form being another big differentiation. It's just a shame my bar looks like it was shaped with a chainsaw, a proof version of these would surely be an interesting proposition.
  11. Should be interesting, I think that's my beef. Knowing what has happened with the last 2 engraver coins prices you knew that these would be an amazing investment if you got lucky but if there are 4 different coins I worry that may make a very exclusive coin less valuable....also how pissed would you be if you could only get 2 or 3 of the set? As a collector the thought of that would be quite off-putting. I suppose on the flipside people will want to have all 4 and that could, weirdly, if its possible make these more desirable. I suppose its a moot point as, while I'll be doing my best I am resigned to the fact my chances of getting a gold are slim to none. I imagine that the silver might take a bit longer to sell though and I guess this will be as good a first silver purchase as any!
  12. I like it, weird denomination but I find that a fun quirk. Not sure why there's a lynx on it if it's spains first bullion coin, I'd have thought something like the sagrada familia, a monarch, a bull or possibly a brit being sick after 10 pints of San Miguel may be an image more representative of the country?
  13. I returned my set last Monday and I have 3 in my orders dated the 29th...fingers crossed I'm getting my return and its in good condition. I was worried that I'd just get a refund which would have been really crappy
  14. On one hand I like the idea this maybe gives me a better chance of getting something but I can't help feeling the rarity of the last 2 in the set is a huge part of the appeal...I mean the 2 part set is fine but now we have 4 versions of the same coin? Can't help but have a nagging feeling the crown won't have the spectacular long term value as the other coins due to not being as exclusive. I do think there will be a pressure to buy all variations of the coin too....for me the coin was a no brainer, then it became obvious you really needed both...pricey but I can swing it. Now I could be looking at 24 grand to get 4 just to complete the set? That's really hard to justify. Do people feel this has cheapened the appeal of this release a bit...maybe watered down is a more appropriate turn of phrase?
  15. Fair enough I'm doing the same, cheers, enjoy your night
  16. I think many of us are not privileged, we scrimp and save to buy these as investments for our pension, for our kids future etc. and if we get a dud coin then down the line that investment has become less valuable. The only privilege I personally have is that I am a member here and have a tiny bit of knowledge on what is an acceptable standard and the consequences of not knowing what to look for. There will be people buying these that think scratches etc are normal and acceptable but come time to cash out they will get stung and I feel the mint must be held accountable.
  17. Yep, I think complaints must be made and to dismiss peoples concerns and dissapointment as childish seems quite rude. In some cases people are paying the best part of 5 grand for a few coins...that's a hell of a lot of money and a cracking earner for the mint. They need to uphold their end of the bargain now and deliver the coins promptly and in good, actually excellent, condition. It may seem harsh but I honestly don't care that they may be busy or whatever, if they can't fulfil their obligations just delay the release until they are ready....everyone knew this would be a huge release so why not have the product ready to go before selling it? Why not have proper quality control? A few isolated issues is understandable but clearly that's not the case, they took the money we don't need to make excuses for them. And if they thought their queue system was problematic for this I can't imagine e what the 6th will look like
  18. Really? I'm new to this game but to me the shield seems like the special part of this...to each their own though and to be fair I think both coins will be amazing. Just have to hope for luck on the day
  19. Wow, totally missed this...gutted, I'm surprised that dealers weren't on here pushing this it could have probably worked out very well for them. They get sales and we get gold at less than spot
  20. You should have jumped on the swap shop thread mate if it's the single then you could have had a replacement from me as I had a good one. I agree they are amazing coins, hopefully my replacement set will be in a condition this issue deserves
  21. Well two weeks ago they were making big promises of reforms and promoting diversity etc. I think while the mint are adressing these important issues we can hardly expect them to waste their limited resources on trivialites such as quality control. The way I see it is accepting our scratched and dented coins is us doing our bit to help. 😉 .... Seriously though they need to get on top of this, it's every release and it's not as if it's small numbers. There are complaints galore on here from people who know what they are looking at but how many people out there just buy a nice commemorate coin as a gift etc not really knowing what to check and end up landed with something that should be returned
  22. Hate to leave this on a cliffhanger, we are all sorted. @BackyardBullion has his quintuple and he is doing me a favour in return that until I found this group I couldn't have trusted someone to do. Top bloke to deal with, no messing around with postage on the exchange as he knew I was in a hurry due to work commitments....tried not to fanboy too much speaking to him seeing as his videos have got me into this whole scene 😅 Cheers to the community here for helping solve problems, maybe moderators could look in to a section for members to swap around coins from sets etc. To help mitigate the mints errors? Maybe an oppurtunity for someone to make a few quid as a middleman?
  23. I think we are both in unique situations that allow us to help each other...I'd rather have got a swap for my double but this will be the next best thing and certainly wouldn't be an outcome I could have hoped for without this forum
  24. Pm sent, I think we can work something out
  25. That would be great, apreciate that
