On the Kangaroos it's a tiny letter A inside the first letter of AUSTRALIA.

Do these ones have a micro-laser engraved letter as a security feature, like on the Kangaroos?

Pretty sure all of the proofs are struck there, and practically all of the bullion. Not all of the blanks are made there though. Some are bought in as ready-to-strike blanks from Australia. Maybe that's the real source of the milkspots 🤔

When I had a meeting with their quality and production people last year to discuss all of my previous disappointments (which to be fair were much more significant than a minor bit of frosting being missing), they arranged to send me a 2023 silver proof definitive set to make up for it... ...and I had to return that as well 🤦‍♂️ Two of the coins had really obvious marks and splatters on them. Considering the purpose of the gift, I just found it incredible that nobody thought to look at the set before sending it to me. It's exactly what I had been complaining about.

Or bated breath.

Well this is a dealer I will probably never be buying from again after the way they've handled this. The description on their website said the coin was in proof condition, and the product images looked fine, but the coin I received clearly doesn't match those images (despite the webpage claiming they were of the actual item), and to add insult to injury their MD seemed to find it laughable that I would be unhappy about any of this. Absolutely incredible phonecall. Prior to that I also felt like I was being called a liar when someone else in the company asserted that the product images were of the original coin (despite both the coin and the COA number I received being different). Although they accepted a return as an "exception", they did not initially offer to refund my return postage costs like they should in these circumstances. I couldn't help but feel that I was being falsely accused of misrepresentation behind the scenes, and that is not something that sits well with me. At the end of the day, I would not have bought this coin if they'd pictured the correct coin to go alongside their claim that the images were of the actual product, and the way they have handled their mistake has just been appalling.

Just got this as I notice there's suddenly 728 of them available to order, so they must have been holding back a fair bit of stock! Paging @westminstrel 🤣

10oz .999 silver 2021 Alderney gothic crown with COA. An exceptional coin, with the "PENCE" typo in the middle ring! There is a very tiny chip on the rim of the underside of the capsule (pictured). £590 posted, or swap for 1.5 sovereigns.
