  1. I was thinking about it.... I've got two boxes coming with the second release. I could send those back without the boxes and then use them for this set. Not sure I will though.
  2. Just had the email and was on the way to share it. Anyone going for it?
  3. I wish I saw them. Probably would've been sold out by the time I got on in fairness but those look beautiful. Nice purchase !
  4. Just doing the same as you Thanks for the effort though!! 😂
  5. Found it. Thanks @Norskgeld. That's handy 👍👍
  6. I'm happy to of found this thread. I've never been to a coin fair before so now I can see when and where they are I'll try and make one sometime this year. It won't be this one but hopefully I can make the next. Did I see somewhere they do 4 a year in London?
  7. I never even saw the 2coin set on release day so I don't know but a mintage of 70 makes sense as a nod to the 70th year of her maj being on the thrown.
  8. There's a few places around me that buy and sell any gold. They really do offer some crappy prices for your gold but charge over the odds on resale. I understand they have a business to run but now I know what to look out for, I can see they are ripping people off.
  9. Neither did I until I saw it. Must be a relatively new thing.
  10. This one in Avonmouth Bristol UK does. First time I've seen bullion there in fairness though.
  11. Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks. I'm not a fan of packets personally.
  12. @James32. While you're filling your boots at Costco on the free food and wine you can have a little gander at the shiny they have to offer as well.
  13. Yeah it wouldn't be their normal cap if it were. Either way I'd take it out and put it in a black ring air-tite. That's just me though. Not sure if the blister adds value or not tbh.
  14. Costco usually have the tasters dotted about. Hit it at the right time and they might have a bit of plonk on offer too 🤣
  15. Going by the picture it looks like it's in a capsule but I'm not sure if that's just how they mold the packaging.
  16. Do they come in a capsule as well as covered in the plastic?
  17. I considered buying these and the bobba fet chibies. I didn't in the end as I've spent quite a bit on RM stuff lately. I need recovery time lol. They look good though and low mintage too.
  18. It's missing frosting and not a ding or a scratch so it's not as bad as that.
  19. So found a couple of issues on close up inspection. Not really visible to the naked eye until you've spotted them under magnification, then you kind of can see it. I used a 5x mag and a 11x mag with the zoom on my phone to show you. I'm thinking of returning for replacement but as these are very low mintage do you think it's worth returning and running the risk of getting a worse one or a refund!?
  20. You're one of the lucky few then. I don't think you can lose with the actual platinum 50p. Definitely a keeper imo.
  21. Absolutely beautiful coin mucker.... I have the 1oz silver version of these. Already sold them though. You have a platinum 50p..... As in one of the platinum metal version?
  22. Yes sir.... There aren't many around yet but @paulmerton has posted a couple of nice pics on another thread.
  23. As promised.... This came today so here's some quick pictures straight from the box. Looks to be in really good nick except for a little tiny speck of the black foam that seems to have come away and sometimes comes into view in different places lol. I'm not opening it to get rid of it though lol.
