I am after 2 capsules for proof gold sovereigns/quarter ounce gold coins. I am looking for the official Royal Mint ones. When you say "they will be a good buy if you want one, not if you want to sell one for a profit", do you mean the limited or unlimited or both? -
Hello As you all probably know, the queens memorial coins are a mixture of limited and unlimited coins. Of the unlimited mintage coins. Which do you think are the best buys? Do you think any of them will be lower mintages than the limited edition versions? (e.g. under 3000 minted) Are the unlimited coins a waste of money? Are the Royal Mint charging limited edition prices for unlimited edition coins? Tom

I ordered the quarter ounce gold too. I also bought a platinum proof 50p. Not sure whether I should have though! Perhaps I should’ve just stuck to gold.

Opinions requested on the below questions please! 1. Why were so few Platinum Proof coins produced by the Royal Mint for the Queens platinum jubilee? 2. Is this decision by the Royal Mint meant to be an exclusivity thing or do people just prefer Gold and Silver? 3. How do you think the Platinum proof coins will do vs. Gold and Silver in the long run.
