  1. I would of been happy with the very slight defect mine had but I see now how some collectors can be. If I sent them that set with a tiny dink in it they'll use their 30x lense and cry Merry Hell 🤣. I'm trying to think ahead and think about resale. If this set comes back with a slight defect I'll reconsider a refund as I'm starting to think proofs are too much hassle to deal with on the second market.
  2. Wish me luck folks.... I've sent my 3 coin set back for replacement. I phoned ahead twice to make sure they can replace it and not refund it. They said they've got stock to replace returns so we'll see how this goes 🤞
  3. It just intrigued me as to how small it is. I won't be getting one though lol.
  4. Funny... It's gone now? It was a 0.5g 2022 24k gold coin 11.5mm diameter. Had some sort of gothic crown cross type affair going on. Reserve of £39
  5. I've ran out of reactions so I have to do it this way ....♥️....lol. high magnification will show pretty much anything. I guess that's why graders only use 5x.
  6. Plus..... While I was there I saw this. https://harringtonandbyrne.co.uk/search?searched=2022+ .what is this and who by? Look at the specs, it's tiny!
  7. Just went to their website to look and a single full 2022 sovereign for £999.... Does anyone think that's even realistic right now ? 🤣🤣
  8. I'd love to say I'd give £700 but I could be on strike next year by the way things are looking. Gotta hold onto the pennies now !
  9. Chances are you could get more then RRP anyway so my offer would be null and void to start with 🤣🤣🤣
  10. I'm tempted to offer RRP but I'm not really in a position to anyway. What was the RRP on these?
  11. That's a shame mucker. Are you going to get a refund? If you are it might be worth offering on here as someone else might be willing to send it.
  12. If you're going to send it back for a refund then offer it here first for RRP, I'm sure you'd get it. I'd be happy to take it for that if I could spare the cash right now lol.
  13. If you have no choice but to keep it then no harm having it sent off to see if it can be fixed.
  14. The sovereign in my view is an absolute belter of a coin and the fact that sovereign's are always well desired coins and have literally stood the test of hundreds of years, proves in my mind that this jubilee design will be one of the most remembered and sought after coins for any sovereign collector. Even if spot value dives I believe the desire for these 2022 proof coins will hold them to at least their retail value if not above. I think it's very unlikely that another monarch will be on the thrown far as many years as she has.
  15. Wait until the 2oz silver GC starts showing milk spots. See if they'll except your offer then lol
  16. Right... I think they take all the good ones and make good sets. All the problem ones will go to the melting pot and re-struck is my thinking. That could be the reason for replacements taking so long.
  17. I have looked at the second set and everything looks pretty perfect but I'll get the magnifier back out before I send the other one off to be sure. I'll probably keep the 2 sets. Whether I keep them forever is another question but if I popped off tomorrow at least the kids have one each lol.
  18. I don't mind it taking time if it comes back perfect. Problem is I've heard they've told some it's a keep it or lose it deal and that's what worries me. I don't think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing in the Royal Mint sometimes so I'm nervous if I'll get it back at all. The person on the phone might tell me one thing and then despatch might have other ideas 🤷
  19. I called today to see if I can send my 3 coin sovereign set back for replacement as it has a very small mark on the full sov. I was told I can and they'll replace it not refund it but I'm a bit nervous as I've heard some have been told it's keep it or lose it. What should I do.... I'm not worried about the mark personally but if and when I come to resell it might put some off.
