If the box for the Tudor beasts turns out to be the same kind of box I have on the 1/4oz silver queen's beasts set I'll be happy. It looks like it from the pictures they show.

Oh there was a lot of excitement on here about them.... The day they were released the queue on the royal mint site was long and the phone lines were busy. They did seem to sell out at one point. They have since slowed down a bit as there's been a lot of other coin releases but I think the popularity is still there and will grow again now the new sovereign And the Gothic crown has been released. When the second coin comes I think it'll respark the interest and the series will do well, but we shall see.

There's a lot less issues with gold as well as the silver could be prone to milking.

The 1/4 gold would be your best investment in these and is still available for the continuity set but is a lot to commit to for 5yrs. If you're looking at the silver then the 2oz silver would be the better option over the 1oz but having said that I have 2 of the 1oz continuity set. For my benefit though.... Take the gold set, I need the temptation taken away 🤣🤣🤣!!

I just tried calling the royal mint again on the off chance and they have an automated message saying "if you're calling to order the Gothic crown, please be advised all lines are now sold out"

Oof..... I would have paused on the site if I was faced with that price but still knowing it would be money in the bank. I think a moral lightbulb would've flashed in my head and stopped me. I could've bought it given the chance but I couldn't of kept it.

Very true. I'm not an after market person when it comes to these sorts of releases. It's either in at the source or not at all. I can't cry over spilt milk. Fast cash for some, a chance to complete a set for others.
