Think it might possible rally with gold above and beyond the high 20's.
Probbaly wont stay there for long before it gets smashed down though. 
$100 silver would be nice wouldn't it. A lot rides on bitcoin.

All the negativity around VAT is on the assumption that you will sell at spot price rather than market value. It's nonsense.
 

Beats me why anyone would stack silver with no VAT loophole any more. I've moved more to gold which is a pity as the GSR would still be a really good silver buy right now. But yeah... VAT. The only possible factor to make me want to swallow the VAT (and it doesn't) is that you effectively sell the 20% back to the buyer when the time comes. Look at all silver being sold either here or eBay, the 20% is clearly added to the price, whether that's the VAT or not.
 
But it's time I paid more love to gold now anyway, this VAT has just nudged me in the right direction finally.

For me  : I have a very simple goal, created a " secure reserve" just in case ...So i will try to buy at the more reasonable price as possible.

I am waiting for it to turn and stay like that as it is probably going lower, possibly a lot lower. 
I sold 3/4 of my gold (& 1/3 silver) a month back. Complete fluke mind you I was sure it was on its next leg up in Jan. 😛
A lot of that money has gone into gold/copper miners & dividend stocks, so Im no more better off. 
This could be the best buying opportunity for some time, but as you say it could also be a bear market trap and it will sit at £900 for 2 years. 
a few things I think is certain is that: 
- Bitcoin will crash back to £20k at some point
- There is false hope that the economy is bouncing back - the fundamentals dont whole that at all
- All other metals are doing very well, most notably silver - gold has to pick up just based on that. 
- The stock market is over bought and in a bubble, you can see people moving out of tech and into more safer assets. 
- connected to that is that free money will stop pretty soon & people will be out of work and able to be evicted etc. 
I would say its a time to sit back and wait, a bit like bitcoin in the last week. 
Personally Im just ignoring my stocks and getting out in the garden for a well needed break/distance.

You could post a chart of unemployment with QE and they would correlate
Or you could post a chart with unemployment and silver and say wow people really like to buy silver when they lose their jobs
