isnt that where most of the frauds that the banks are protecting you from originate? https://www.quora.com/Why-are-so-many-phone-scam-call-centers-located-in-India
  6. Lehman branded stuff is selling at a huge premium for every day things, such £40 for a notepad.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=lehman+brothers&_sacat=0 . Looking on fleabay, the CS bars seem quite rare, especially in the UK.
  7. thats true, i guess the holders of these bars can be glad that they didn't plummet in value 😛
  8. It looks like after this weekend Credit Suisse will be no more, with shareholders and some bondholders losing out. What will this mean for Credit Suisse branded gold and silver? Will it trade at a discount or premium due to its scarcity value?
  9. its difficult to tell atm, at the current gold-silver ratio, and the gold-S&P ratio, both are strong buys at the moment, especially silver. the premiums versus the paper price has decoupled for so long now, the paper price barely matters anymore.

    To the moon !

    are you okay midas?
  11. all of this detracts from the fact that a lot of gold was Stollen.
  12. looks like a good deal, but you still paid above spot. a sign of the times i guess.
  13. meanwhile, at the JPM headquarters....
  14. thank you for the mention - if only my photos did justice to the coin 😕
  15. the recent hike of boating and drowning accidents is starting to cause some alarm....
  16. well arguably it is - trying to get ahold of the shiny stuff at the stated price is a fools errand !
  17. how about the gold as a conductor arguement. i cant speak for how they are nowadays, but most earlier computers used a lot of gold for circuitry...
  18. gooo uranium ! it looks like a closing of shorts, many of these stocks have been hammered hard. whether or not they will retain much value in the longer term is still up for debate. Take peleton for example, its share price is up 25% on the week. However, its nothing more than an exercise bike with an ipad attached, with an obnoxious voice saying 'John in tumbuktu, i got you !' as a means of encouragement. I doubt the equipment is worth the 2k that they are asking for, nor the 8bln that the company is worth (down from 50bln).
  19. i understand the sentiment about this particular miner - i'd never heard of them and personally avoid taking punts on individual miners. I know sprott was bullish on uranium, but perhaps he should have stuck to what he is good at! the move is bullish for miners as a whole though, they have been under-priced relative to the recent highs in gold.
  20. AMC, the cinema chain has just invested a decent chunk into a US Gold silver miner, along side Eric Sprott. Why not, i'd say...🤠 https://www.barrons.com/articles/amc-entertainment-buys-gold-mine-hycroft-51647343823
  21. i think the increases were too sudden and some fallback/profit taking was to be expected. Palladium in particular was too swift, and can be substitued in many cases with Platinum. The fed decision is tommorrow, and will be interesting to see how monetary policy pans out in the next few months. Several interest rate rises have been priced in, but this was before the invasion of Ukraine, and the exclusion of Russia from Swift. Industrial demand should continue to rise.
