So, that's, what, about 15 minutes of the magic money printing magic?
Also, at this rate, what do you think are people going to do when gold hits £2,500/oz. @Paul? RMSD will then start to feel a bit risky for 1Oz coins...!

That is a better break down of main stream news
Hence why no gold news on BBC or Sky news today

I couldn't agree more that voting makes no difference, because they're all singing from the same song sheet on a global scale, as was so blatantly demonstrated during the covid farce, and no matter who you vote for, you will always get more of the same.
However, a spoilt ballot paper is supposedly still counted.    You could speculate that they count the spoilt papers to keep tabs on the level of discontent from the plebs, and to forewarn if the numbers get too great and become a possible threat.
This time I intend to spoil my paper and make it crystal clear that I do not consent to any of it, and will not under any circumstances choose parasite A, B, C, or D to lord it over me while he/she/it runs off with all the tax revenue in his/her/its pocket, while bending all the rules or making up new ones to benefit themselves, illegal immigrants, the police, and other criminals .
I don't expect spoiling my paper to make any difference other than to put me on a government list of possible subversives on a home office computer somewhere.
There is another likely scenario, and that is that the entire thing is rigged to provide the desired outcome every time regardless. We know it's rigged to the benefit of the main two by the FPTP system, but even with that safeguard in place,  I suspect there are further manipulations that go on to ensure pole position is always passed only between Labour and Conservative - consider the South Thanet scenario in 2015 for example.  Missing ballot boxes my left bollock...  !
This is way off topic. Gold is about to punch through the £1800 mark. .....    And no one seems to know what's driving it....🤔

Who honestly genuinely believes now, that voting actually makes meaningful difference? And your vote counts?
How many different generations of  coloured tied mouth pieces does it take for the penny to drop?  before we realise we don't have elected representatives, we have selected representatives for vested interest special interests globalist groups ?
We have to now pay our tax online, renew our passport online, renew our driving licence online, do any tax.credits or benefits online
Yet we can't vote online on issues of our country, legislation or local areas micro issue

You’re not wrong. I just hope the tories get no seats, and we see 100+ seats from reform. That’s best case scenario for me. Replace the tories with an actual Conservative Party, watch the world burn for 4 or 8 years. Then hope for a reform government

    Good question!
As far as I can tell:
    1) Expectation of interest rates coming down?  So, gold up?  But of course gold was not this high when interest rates were really low.
    2) Higher oil prices are pushing up the expectation of inflation?   If this is the case, then interest rates are not going to come down?  Contradicts 1) above!
    3) De-dollarization - so no real incentive for China to sell its gold.  Does China really want to sell gold and buy dollars?  Other countries are also wanting financial independence following the way the dollar was weaponised against Russia.
    4) Countries that hold large amounts of their reserves in dollars are starting to worry about the rate of increase in US Government debt - and so may be diversifying.
    5) Anticipation of possible turmoil in the run up to / following US (and UK) elections?
I'm sure there are other reasons as well.
