Today I bought 2x Johnson Matthey 1oz. Bars and a Scottsdale hand-poured 5oz. Bar. My 1st ever purchases of silver bullion & I look forward to making my newborn stack grow.

Bit of a windfall, came back from work hoping to see ST's Morgans (which were there ) and also unexpectedly found 3 lunars which weren't supposed to be delivered until tomorrow so I was over the moon.

6 lovely Morgans, year of the rabbit, year of the snake lion privy and year of the dragon lion privy.

Waiting on a rat, Ox and the best ASE I've ever seen.

Exactly, I vaguely recall Craig doesn't buy silver in bulk anyway (nothing wrong with that, I rarely do either) so I mean it's really not worth fretting about the spot price of silver at the time of purchase. It's just causing stress for little to no real impact.

Judging by the past performance, £12.50 becomes 'high' in my book. But in a year or so that might be to us what the £11 was to us a few months ago. It's all a constantly shifting tide.

For me, when it goes up I think great, what I've got is worth more. When it goes down, I think yay I can buy more.

And if they wanted to buy some more, it's still great news. Low prices are bad only if you are wanting to sell. If not selling, it's not a problem.
 
Silver was still reasonable before the weekend and its gotten cheaper today. Gold was getting pricey and is now pretty cheap again. I don't have enough of either so I'm not complaining because I can now buy more.
 
Interesting bit of commentary from the market that last week's rally was driven entirely by speculative trading, but the lack of physical sales pretty much stalled it and people reconsidered their positions, taking quick profits and dumping a lot of contracts in the process. Remember my quote about all the traders using the same fundamentals? Well this is what happens when everyone hops on the bandwagon.

Just got caught out by the 5k/10k threshold limits.
 
Seems some of my earlier history in Atkinsons didnt show up in my online account history so went over the 10k limit by £200.
 
Have now had to submit all my I.D for verification

Received my second Morgan today - it's got a die error on it so hopefully worth more than the £20 I paid. Was going to flip it on eBay but now I think I might keep it!

4 more pamp Lunar Horse bars, and a 1966 Sovereign (That date seems to ring a bell).
 
One thing is absolutely certain I will not be buying a 2014 Gold Sovereign England World Cup Commemorative coin!!!!

I bought two, ended up getting them for free due to postage issues, mine are still empty too.

Just can't bring myself to let coins touch together!!!

Because  in 1932 only South Africa were minting Sovereigns and they only made 1,067,000. Compared to 1931, 8,512,000, 1930 - 10,028,000 and 1929 - 12,024,000. the SA mint produced
 
The UK a decade before were making them up to 30million a year. 
 
It is one of the lowest mintage figures of any sovereign . Chards are selling the 1932's for £340, compared to their normal price of a run of the mill sov of £194.
