2022 Platinum Jubilee Silver Proof Celebration Set   Limited to just 700 in number, I am led to believe that RM released these sets in a belated and mercenary cash-grab to exploit the inflated number of collectors unable to buy the 2022 Jubilee silver collection.   With just ten coins, this set lacks the two £2 coins (Bell and Lynn) and the Commonwealth Games 50p - all of which were included in the full 13-coin issue.   Both the £5 and 50p commemorative coins sport the Jody Clark 5th Portrait obverse in contrast to the (undesirable) much commoner "horseback" image.   Issued at a price-gouging £700, the subsequent - and customary - drop of over 60% in resale value after less than two years highlights the continuing gullibility of RM's target market. I anticipate a further discount before buying the hybrid (ER & CR) memorial set with definitive privy coins.

The final design of the UK round pound series is also my personal favourite.
I find it extraordinary that those with sway at the Royal Mint have, as yet, never seen fit to use this reverse for a sovereign.
