Ignoring the bullet hole in the reverse, is this coin ok? Reverse looks upside down to me. Anyone able to slear up the mystery? Or is this normal?

The reverse is the correct way up. They used coin alignment rather than medal alignment back then.

Whether its genuine or not is still another matter. I have no idea

Seems alright but pictures of both sides will be better for identification purpose.  Also, what's the edge lettering?

Looks genuine to me.  No obvious issues on that score.  The condition is another matter 😄
