Hi I want to buy 1 or 2 full gold sovereign's if the price is right. Also looking to grab some silver Britannia's if there is a good deal. Not purchased from the forum before so any pointers or info on how is the best way about it would be appreciated. Thanks...

Are you looking for the modern Britannias in 999 silver or the earlier pre 2013 i.e. much more collectible ones ?
A "good deal" means a desirable price for a specific coin or a basement price for simple bullion metal hence the question.

Just any 999 coin. Basically the basement bullion please. Cheers.

Two real options, either stick a wanted up in the ungraded trade section, or purchase a membership and keep an eye out on what is being posted.

The forum operates on a trust system aided in a large way by the feedback system, generally if your buying of someone with a lot of sales under their belt your in safe hands.  When a deal is done you pay for whatever you have bought and the seller (usually) provides tracking once despatched.  If you click on anyone's name you can see their past sales and purchases to give yourself some confidence they are a genuine seller.  It is still plausible to buy of new members but generally you should use an intermediary service - or stick to established sellers.  Established members will offer to pay on receipt but that would not be an option for you until you have built up some feedback and reputation yourself.

Hopefully you will manage to get what your after.

Hello good question ask i am a relatively new member myself I upgraded to the platinum membership really quick and it paid dividends.

I gained back my membership fee in the 1st gold deal compared to dealer prices.

But more importantly for me by having the membership i showed other members i was serious about my collecting goals and supporting the forum and it's members, plus the Chris has your details should any problems arise (very slim chance in my option). But it is trust issues we all have to earn it.

As stated before  wouldn't say cheap ( no such thing in the pm world ) but quality items do get snapped up pretty quickly

The knowledge available on here is outstanding and parted with freely to those who choose participate in topics.

Soveriegns or fractional bullion coins are a good place to start and there will be something to suit most budgets. To give an idea of prices I have just purchased 3 full Soveriegns this week 2x1966 and 1 1913. There price was about £385 each inc pp. This is the normal price bullion sovs on here. 1oz silver ranges from £26 + pp an oz to infinity for specialist coins.

Silver brits are peoples favourite bullion coins for a variety of personal reasons but it is really down your taste.

I hope you enjoy your journey and welcome aboard.
