RMR - Royal Mint Refinery Kilo Silver Bar

Recommended Posts

I recently saw a small number of RMR - Royal Mint Refinery Kilo Silver Bars:

I used to see RMR gold bars quite often, produced by N.M. Rothschild (NMR) who operated it for many years, until 1968 apparently.

I was aware the Royal Mint had "resurrected" the brand a few years back (2015), but for some reason had not yet seen any of their modern RMR branded silver bars, so it was interesting to have the opportunity to take a good look at them.

I've seen these in the metal and quite like them.  What did you reckon to them, Lawrence?
I don't really stack or collect bars, but if I did, I'd probably want one of these.

To me, it's a kilo silver bar, like many other brands and designs.

For investment, there is little difference, although like almost anything, there are collectors or others who will prefer one brand or one design over another.
