Know of any good priced jewellers for gold chains?

Hi all, I'm after buying a chain as a gift, probably 22" or so. I don't mind if it's 9ct, 14ct or 18ct, but what I would like is for the chain to be as close to spot price as possible. I'm realistic on this ie the mark ups are high. 

I have looked at auctioneers but I can't seem to find any that specialise in gold chains. I'm not against them, but my searching hasn't come up with anything worth looking at so far. 

Can anyone recommend any online jewellers? My budget is no more than £500 as its a gift.

If you are looking for as close to spot price. Don’t buy new, you’ll pay a large premium from a high street jeweller.

Your best option would be second hand, apart from looking at auctions you could look to put a ‘wanted’ topic in the sale part of the forum.

@ilovesilverireallydo occasionally sells chains on the forum, I bought a silver chain a few weeks ago. Maybe ask if they have any gold chains.

Gold chains don't come up that often on here you will see some here https://www.the-saleroom.com/

Great, thanks both. Half of the issue is trusting where I'm buying from. I trust most on here as its a great community and I've had nothing but help and good experiences from everyone. I despise eBay for reasons obvious to most and I don't really know other places to trust outside of that!
