🇨🇦🪙 For sale here is an absolutely stunning Canadian ‘death dollar’ dated 1958! 🪙🇨🇦

Minted for the 100^th anniversary of British Columbia and comprised of 23.33 g of .800 silver, this so-called ‘death dollar’ earned its name after Native Canadians interpreted the design on the reverse of this coin to be that of the face of death within their Haida culture. Although these silver dollars were well received amongst the non-native population, they weren’t met with the same level of adoration within the smaller Haida community.

This example is particularly nice and would make a great addition to the stack or collection!
