G’day everyone!  My name is Alex and I’m a PM investor and mining engineer from Perth, WA. 
I am a bit of a regular at the mint, so happy to answer any questions or assist with particular requests, as long as they are reasonable!  Don’t expect me to pick up 50x 1000 ounce bars and post them to you 😅.

I have recently picked up quite a few five ounce Ag Lunar Oxen in both the standard and proof coin, but intend on holding on to these for a bit as I know that the mint is not planning to make any more of them in this series. I think they have the same potential as last year’s Lunar Mouse. Bought some 1 ounce Au swans today - lovely coins.  Relatively low mintage of 5000.

G'day Alex, awesome to see other new members from Australia. Can I ask what the shop there is selling the Swan for, that's hard to get I note it was apparently sold out on their site. It annoys me that the Limited stuff is so hard to get and they don't seem to have allocations for the Au market of the Limited stuff. I've bought a few of the 20 and 21 WTE (Wege Tail Eagle) 20 30th anniversary Kooks, and 21 Kooks and some older Croc and Funnel Web Spider coins recently but want to fully expand my nature series. I want the nugget series, and other historical series. Not a collector of the Lunars. Interested to hear what their stock is like at the shop. Ask them if you can get a few 1000 oz bars ! Cheers mate

My wife is from Perth (Subi) so get back quite regularly and no trip is complete without a visit to the Perth Mint!

There are also some good dealers in the areas around the PM if you are looking for more unusual coins (I suspect you probably know this)

I also enjoyed visiting Kalgoorlie for some nugget buying!

@OldCoin I got the 2021 Swans for $2388 which was not that much more than a 1 oz minted bar and about $100 above spot which I thought was OK for a limited release. I really love the design too, the swans are a real feature in Perth and quite tame in some areas. 
 

The stock of a lot of items is quite limited at the moment. Shipments seem to come in and get snapped up. They also have a weird arrangement where they don’t actually hold stock in the shop, even if it is in stock on the website, it has to get picked from the warehouse which can take days. 
 

I can confirm they do have 1000 ounce silver bars. You have to make a special arrangement to pick them up from the warehouse. But kilobars are in short supply. Was quoted up to four months lead time last purchase. 
 

@dicker love Kal. Took my girls on a road trip there late last year. If you haven’t been already, Esperance is well worth a visit. Pic attached!

Yes been all up and down the WA coast - it’s a fantastic trip....but it’s big country and you need time to get around. Did the  trip to Brooke over a few weeks -spectacular.

Oh they were Gold, I thought you were talking about Silver Swans as I'm more familiar with them. I wish I could afford some gold, haha I sold all my gold before the price run a few years ago tired of the wait, of course regrettably. Now I can only afford the poor mans gold, but I'd love to own some sovereigns like in my avatar pic.

WA is a sensational place, had the treat of a working holiday there some years ago, can't forget the westerly sunsets at Broome.

I hope we can get more Aussies on here, and get some trade going.

Yes but I think they are hard to deal with online, I find it easier to buy of their resellers like Ainslie, GBA, or local coin shops. The price break has tempted me a few times but getting everything together they need it gets put on the back burner. I'm still sad I missed out on the limited Brumbies, and the Quokka's
