Just recieved my soverign... its in fantastic condition very very happy with it...

I was just curious if anyone had any success with removing the ink...

Iv not done anything like this before and the last thing I want to do is damage the sov.

That ink is really hard to shift.  I've had mine sitting in a glass beaker with 98% acetone (Wilko nail varnish remover) for a couple of hours.  The ink is slowly getting fainter so should be good by the morning

Dissolve it, precipitate it, melt it, electrolyse it and pour yourself a stash worthy of a king!  Then bury the fecker under a tree :)

Acetone not so good, spirit based solvents seem better. Try water soluble paint brush cleaner, easy to wash off afterwards. White spirit or xylene the best but then you have to get rid of the solvent.

I tried a few different solvents yesterday with no success.  Left the coins soaking overnight in the acetone and this morning all the ink had gone.  The coins look lovely.
