The brave new online world!

Morning all,

I’m new to the forum and not big on the online world in general. People keep telling me it’s a brave new world - I keep telling them that if they read that book, the guy ends up in a concentration camp!!

 

However, I do accept the online community must be the same as all others and will have good as well as bad. So, following a recent very positive trade with a founder member of this forum I’ve decided to join up and give it a whirl. 
 

Ive brought and sold precious metals my whole life at amateur weights. My Dad owned and ran a jewellers for a lot of years so I had an early introduction. I have always operated by word of mouth and have been content with that for a long time. But nowadays I’ve been looking a lot more at bullion coins and they aren’t so prevalent. I’m told here is an excellent place to buy them, hence joining.

 

other than that, I worked for one of the largest scrap metal dealers in the world for a long time so, similarly to the previous metals, had a lot of experience in commodity markets. I tend to pick metals that I feel look good value in relation to the others and purchase accordingly. When I feel we are around the ceiling I sell and turn my attentions to the new ‘rising star’ metal I’ve picked. I’ve not done a bad job over the years, though a couple of real clangers have caught me out! I now work in haulage but I’ve always had a foot in all metal markets.
