Can you buy genuine Airtite ringed capsules in the UK?..

I have read a few threads about different capsules and holders etc, and I saw Chris's post about KCLacey, but I wanted to know if there is any genuine UK seller of the black ringed airtites, like H22 for Sovs or H32 for Kangaroos and Krugers.

This is really getting into the weeds, I know, but I see on Coingallery that they offer "airtite ringed capsules" for about £2 for 5. But - when I read closely it says they are Lighthouse (Leuchturm brand) capsules - so are these NOT the Airtite brand caps?? Looks like they are mixing / matching the rings and the caps.

I want the airtite ring in an airtite cap. Is that available anywhere?

Cheers folks.

Don't think so, it needs someone to import a load again.

If you can't find a UK supplier, I can sell you some for 70p each excluding postage.  I believe I have H16, H22, H24, H26, H27, H28, H29, H30, H31 and H32 all in stock but don't know the exact qty without checking.  I also have most of the A and T range ringed caps in stock too.

Yes, coin gallery does use Lighthouse caps with the Airtite rings.  It is a much cheaper combination.

Thanks guys, and for the offer Morezone. I guess I should have asked a different Q while I was at it - are the Lighthouse capsules OK? In other words - are the ringed Airtites worth it , or are the combo with Lighthouse caps just fine.

Will let you know in a couple of days - as I may be heading to US again soon and I could just pick them up there.

Stupid add - on question : are all PM coins in their own PM brand of coin, or does anyone know? I ask because I have some kooks in snug capsules and others that are rattling about...

I personally don't like Lighthouse capsules.  Compared to Aitites, they feel cheap.  I presume you will be using them for gold, in which case the extra expense is definitely worth it.  I use direct fit Airtites for all my silver which don't come in Mint Capsules but it does make things a little more expensive.

If you are heading to the US, then grab yourself some.

Perth Mint use their own brand of capsules.  Your Kook capsules should all look the same unless they've been replaced with a difference brand of capsule.  I'm pretty sure most of the coins will have some rattle but due to manufacturing tolerances, there will be some which don't rattle.

Thanks again - yes MZ - mainly for the gold, so I think I will get the real stuff in the US. On the Kooks - been buying from various sellers on eBay and I suspect they have moved some into other capsules, so I may put them into the direct airtites like you said Steve. The early ones are still in their original clunky square capsule contraptions - and I think I would prefer them in a standard capsule ( will keep the square things if I ever want to sell them ...)!

Some of my kooks (BU) have different capsules to the new kooks. They are slightly opaque on the edges rather than comply clear like the new ones. I presumed that this was how some of the older kooks came.

If anyone is planning on making an order from Air-tites in the near future, and willing to allow me to add a couple of caps onto their order please let me know. :) @morezone @sovereignsteve etc :)
