I came across this site whilst googling about buying Silver.  I have read quite a few posts on here and found it all very interesting and educational, so much so that that I felt that most of you guys are doing things that is very much the way I would like to go.

Yes Danny, I have purchased some Maples from STG,  (info from you guys thank you). I purchased 150 and then as I was reading and looking at what some of you guys are collecting....I thought these are pretty but reasonably cheap I guess! So I am now trying to decide whether I just want to stack or actually collect something more interesting.

I also have a small amount of sovereigns but buying these will be "if and when" I have few extra quid to spare!

Welcome to the forum. You can stack and collect at the same time, best of both worlds

Some people have two collections. One just of coins they collect and hopefully won't have to ever sell, and one with multiples of coins bought mainly for investment that they can sell if needed.

Well that's a damn good start to a stack!!! Even with a few "choice" coins that will keep your average down to an enviable level.

Just buy what pleases you and holds your enjoyment of owning PM's.

If you think silver is going to rise, buy any silver. If you don't foresee such rises, try the semi-numi game.

Thanks to all you guys for the welcome.

I can see the problem is going to be "what to collect"!  I'm like a child in a sweet shop....they all look good. 

I will keep reading and looking at different coins etc and see what catches my eye. Not too sure about bars though!

I guess I need to make my mind up and start looking, it will only be a regular monthly thing with the occasional "special" when I come into a little extra cash.

 

But it is all very interesting!
