Mintage: 5000
Fineness 0.999

Weight: 1 troy ounce

You can't tell so much from these photos. But the coin is actually domed, a curved coin similar to some other curved coins we have seen recently. (i.e @Shamatti 's meatball on a plate coin ;) ")

Just bought one from EMK this morning. Should come by next Tuesday.

You will have to take some better photos and upload them. I don't think the stock photos above show the curved coin off very well.

I'll post them as soon as it arrives.

This is the second curved coin as I'm sure there was a baseball coin that came out the other year. Missed out on that one.

Here's the coin from the side (ignore the little guys!).

There's also a domed coin from the New Zealand Post with similar specs. http://agaunews.com/new-zealand-follows-australia-with-curved-silver-cricket-coin/

If you like cricket, this £20 medallion just came out with a bit of stump from the 2015 World Cup in it. http://agaunews.com/stumped-2015-cricket-world-cup-signs-off-with-a-unique-medallion/

Curved coins go back to the 2009 Year of Astronomy (also in gold) by the Monnaie de Paris. There's a beautiful Southern Sky astronomy series of three by the Royal Australian Mint as well. Others by the National Bank of Poland, the Mint of Poland, and a terrific one by the Bank of Lithuania are also out there.

For me though, the best one is the new Mint of Poland Solar System 'Moon' coin. http://agaunews.com/the-moon-is-the-star-of-the-mint-of-polands-new-solar-system-series/

If you want a curved coin, ( ok round!) but you don't want to pay the prices as per the above, this is a nice little feller being turned out by the Regency Mint.

Picked this up from All About Gold for $22 earlier this year. - Come is special capsule and with protective foam insert.

Not the quality of the Perth/NZ/US Mints I grant you - but cheap as chips for a form of coin /round that we are being told is expensive to produce due to the intricacies or working on a concave surface.  look at the legend ' Made In' on the left side of the glove
