Hello Forum Members

I have been collecting for around a year but wished I had come across this forum back then!

Looking to learn from all and adopt a sound investment strategy namely move away from my scatter gun approach to collecting. 

Ultimately wanting to build a nice portfolio over the next 20-30 years to pass on to the next generation!

Any advice on what series/bullion/ratios coin or bar to collect would gratefully be received.

Thanks everyone, tentatively looking to get involved in the next group order however I’m not sure I can wait 😀 as I have also been bitten by the bug.

Depends what you’re looking to buy. For me, I have found silvertogo.com offers great prices on smaller coins (1oz etc) and if you’re looking for something bigger, the cheapest kg of metal I could find over the last few days was actually a 1kg koala or kookaburra from eu mint (thanks to @BackyardBullion) but it depends where BYB is sourcing the order from. That’s exactly the problem 😂 Everytime I look at a website I change my mind, every aspect of silver has different qualities!

Yesterday I was thinking 1oz Gold Britannia and now I’m thinking I’d prefer 2KGs of silver in various forms for the equivalent price!

I don’t suppose once bitten by the bug it ever wears off?  I’ll do my upmost to keep the powder dry before the next group order!

Keep an eye on the gold/silver ratio. Silver is moving atm but is still vastly undervalued against gold. So you could consider buying silver now, wating for it to climb back to a more favourable ratio, then using it as a vehicle to get to gold. So unless you can get gold for less than spot rn I would buy silver. But that’s just my opinion! 😆
