queens beast lion mark on high premium would you send it back?

I have just received a 1/4oz queens beast lion I picked up with a very high premium. I paid £350 for it... yes yes I know. However the coin I have received has a mark on it.

I have attached an image, the mark in question is just below the B on Elizabeth.

My questions is, should I return it or would you say this is acceptable for a coin paid with this high a premium?

Can you close up pic on that area?

(Edit - in case it's something 'interesting' that more knowledgeable members than me may shed some light on.)

I don't think its anything special, it just looks like a ding. Have tried to get a better pic below.

That is bad - you paid £1400/oz - if you paid something near spot then you cannot argue but that is bad for a premium coin. You will not be able to shift it for the sort of money you paid. It looks like it came out the mint in that state. If so, very poor quality control, should have gone back in the melting pot.

I sent a semi premium silver coin back to a well known dealer once, the dealer was excellent and accepted it back no problem. Everything else I purchased from them I have been happy with.

I got a lunar money with a spot on it from a different well known dealer and they wouldn't accept it back.  Same dealer also sent other lunars with wrong capsules.  Never bought from them again.

I don't know how the dealers operate, some probably different from others.  Is the coin new or second hand.  I assume second hand because the lion sold out ages ago.  Assuming yes, the dealer should of taken the condition into account when purchasing the coin.  I can't believe a dealer would pay a premium for that coin.  I also can't imagine the dealer not seeing that flaw.  Therefore, in my opinion, it should of been sold much closer to spot price.  Like I say, only my opinion.

Do you refer to the little ding on the cheek? That is standard bullion quality from the Royal Mint and much better than the scratches on face and neck you usually get. Hard to judge from the picture but should be at least GEM BU (MS65+) but more likely above and quite good for the first beast.

And especially at that sort of premium, yes?

That spot makes it spot price. Looks like it came out the Mint like that. Shocking really.

It's a bullion coin isn't it?

The release price was too high in my opinion.

The 'fever' drove the price even higher...fools rush in.

Seems like the general consensus is that this should go back. I have received a 1/4oz unicorn today as well with 2 marks on the queens face direct from the mint 😞

Is this a common occurrence? I have been very disappointed with my 2oz silver beasts with spotting but I expected a lot better with gold.
