Its about time it was pimped more in the jewelry and pm trade, I would love to buy some nice cast/poured platinum bars if someone would make them.

Yep, I like the look of platinum but between VAT and the prospect of lower demand, its a swerve from me.

In terms of premiums as a percentage per ounce, physical platinum is cheaper than silver when buying from Europe, VAT is not too bad of a problem. As said unless going in heavy, the ongoing fees while you wait for the rise could be a problem, they add up. I guess the thing to do would be calculate the cost of placing a bet on platinum in terms of physical on a certain timeline, say 10 years, then do the same with vaulting, and compare the cost of each. Not done it myself but I reckon physical will be cheaper.
