I've decided I will buy my first roll of silver bullion soon and being Canadian my first purchase will be the maple leafs and more specific the new incuse design they have this year.

But buying in person of course

Figured I would start with what is local with me and then slowly look into some collector coins..the new Queens Beast is released soon right?

The incuse maple leaf is a nice coin, but you're paying a premium over the regular one. I'm not sure whether that will pay itself back in the long term. I think it has to be a one-year release for that I think and I'm not sure whether they'll do that.

As a Canadian the Maple Leaf will be my foundation coin. I will buy one tube of the incuse just because I think they are beautiful then get just the regular Maples.

I will dip into some collector coins here and there everyone seems to go crazy over those queens beast coins I assume they mean the proof versions and not the bullion ones?

Bullion QB for me. Low premium cost, high premium design!

Since you're Canadian, you should look into the animal series that the Canadian Mint has. There are a few different series. They are all beautiful coins and well worth it, I'd say.

Apmex would be a good place to loook but if you can't find any there try JMBullion.com

I want some of these but have been so far, not been able to get my hands on the introverted design.

The incuse maple is a great looking coin and I personally think one of the most important things when buying (as you'll always pay a premium for these coins) is to get what you like. My only advice would be to use the Canadian dealer Canadian PMX. They are Toronto based and as your order would be above $500CAD the shipping (fully insured) would be free. I think their current price for the incuse maple is about 2 cents more so will cost you 50 cents more for the 25 coins but you'll save the $39.95USD shipping price. You'd also be able to pay in CAD so i'd be surprised if there wasn't a slight savings to be made not having to convert to USD.

Im very interested in Queens Beast... I see some websites are charging crazy amounts for some of the 2oz coins over in North America...seems much cheaper to buy from the mint.

However I would be charged tax for not being a UK resident correct?

I expect those high prices are for the early ones in the series Lion, Griffin, Dragon.  The recent Unicorn and Bull are available very low premiums, at least in Europe, i excpec them to be cheaper from NA sources once you count shipping. You'd not pay any VAT if you did buy from the Royal Mint.

I honestly like the normal Maple Leafs as their leafs are nice to, for the lack of a better word, rub. Sadly, I think the Queen is much too smooth and less satisfying.

And the QB collection is nice, I am also looking to pick it up (1/4 gold versions). The other versions are either not readily available at reasonable prices. But if you can find them, then go ahead. Just don't overspend to try and backdate the coins.
