2014 Britannia Mule

Danny-boy

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just won a 2014 britannia on eBay, the pictures show it as a mule.

Item number 181504563193

Clever marketing trick to sell standard britannias at a higher price, and claiming stock picture?

Or will I receive a mule for £23?

I guess we will see.

I did send a note saying that the coin he sends me needs to be the exact one in the pictures.

I think you're in with a good chance.

The only concern would be that he writes 'I'm selling 4 of this year'. So you have to wonder whether it's the same photo for all four. Maybe all four are mules.

Exactly what I was thinking.

It does look like the same pic for all four.

I guess only time will tell.

Buggerit, I was looking at the same auction and I never even spotted that.

Should have bid after all.....................LOL

There were 3 or 4 of them. I bid up to £20 on all of them and decided to see what happened. Thankfully I won one.

I often scour for 2014 mules although most know what they have.

Thanks buddy.

I already have one but that's spoken for [emoji1]

LOL

I haven't forgotten. I think we have decided to head to Coimbra on Monday as it is the wife's birthday. I have found a link to a coin shop there. Still on the lookout for something unusual/interesting to bring home with me! :P

So how much would this coin cost generally? if it's a known mule and being sold as such

Well, my £23 coin arrived today, and it's a genuine mule.

Awesome.

Wicked!!! Can I buy it? I'll offer you £25 ;) lol (Only kidding mate!) :P :P :P

I just bought a little car today. This means I can dash around the place looking at pawn shops and such. I am going to find you something amazing before I come back to the UK. Even if it takes years! lol :D

Awesome.

I'm bloody annoyed with myself here, because I was looking at the very same auction, and the guy had several similar auctions going at the same time, and i didn't notice it being a mule in any of them.

He sold three of them, for £25.95, £22.95 and £24.96.

Well I won't make that mistake again. ......... ;)
