IMO grading is a lottery. I’ve sent modern proof coins that some on here would have sent scathing emails to Anne Jessopp over the quality and graded PF70UC and I’ve sent totally perfect as a coin can be and got PR69UC. This only might happen with mine.
If the RM can’t guarantee a replacement and you really do want it then it’s worth subbing as you could be lucky.
Thanks! I'd honestly be a bit nervous even getting it replaced as I'd have to send it back from the US and have received worse coins than what I wanted to exchange before. So, should probably just be happy with what I have and see how it does. I'll think about it and get some better light before sending it in for grading.
Do you know if the kind of wavey texture to the obverse fields is normal for gold proofs? Have not noticed it on silver before. -

I know someone who received one with a small mark on the field of the obverse. There were also some frosting issues on the lettering on the obverse. The reverse is perfect.
They received the coin on 23 December and have emailed their account manager. They haven’t had a response yet, at least as far as I know! Probably won’t till 4 Jan given the holiday break. They wanted to grade it so have asked to return for the issues to be dealt with. My view is that the Mint will likely say keep it or return it.
Thanks for the response! I plan on grading mine as well and as long as it comes out a PF69 I'll be happy. Is a bit disappointing though and the surface of the fields on obverse also has a bit of a strange quality to it, somewhat rippled in a way or like it has been handled and lightly smudged all across the field. I haven't dealt with as many gold proofs as silver though so unsure if this is normal texture. Seems like I've heard someone mention it before.
The reverse is definitely stunning on these coins. They've done a great job as far as that goes. -
Has anyone had any experience returning their gold proof? Just opened mine and there are some contact marks on the obverse, albeit quite small. I'm assuming with a coin this limited getting a replacement is unlikely?

Was there no continuity option for the 10 Oz silver then?
I only saw the one listing for the 10oz silver but did not call in to order. Does anyone who placed a phone order for the 10oz know if a continuity option was offered?

Is there any information about the 5oz gold issue yet? Maybe available at the release in March?

Had a call from my RM account manager, i was in the position of being promised a guaranteed/allocated a 2oz gold last week, but could not be sure which, milled or plain edge as i didn't quite qualify for my spend level to 100% guarantee one of the 125 "plain edges" and he would know once they had finished contacting all their higher level Mint Marque members.
Well, i am proud to report, i am an owner of a 2oz Gold "plain edge" Gothic Crown now
One very happy chappy here today ! must me for my "services to the forum" Ive been rewarded from on high
What was the annual purchase amount required to qualify for one of the plain edge? I assume it was more exclusive than just having an account manager?

Could someone please share the links to the specific pages for each coin?
All links except for the 5 Oz silver are taking me back to the home page.
I still have hope that if I keep refreshing I may get lucky. 😬

Ah thanks Paul. I saw the Agaunews state the mintage was 411 so I was confused.
I’m trying to gauge how many they are holding back for “sets”.
Been curious about how they'll package the set and what the quality of the original Crown will be. Perhaps a graded set?

Grained edge was offered on BCC
2oz gold Milled edge mintage in this format 350, total max mintage 411
2oz gold 'plain-edge is 125 mintage
The plain edge is going to be amazing I would say. Would have been excellent to see a few in silver as well.

I'm waiting for the plain edge gold. I'm sure it will be available any moment. 👽

Anyone have any experience getting the RM to resubmit payment? Bank sent fraud alert 30 mins after purchase which I immediately answered but waiting to find out if the charge has actually gone through.

That's always how the website works, nothing to worry about at all, will correct itself over the coming weeks.

For some reason it still makes me nervous every time they do that, haha.

Well, I tried...
Congrats to those who got lucky - at least I have some spare cash to invest in something else now 😁
Silver lining and all that 😏 😂
Have a bit of a theory that because the website was so confusing as to which product was which and how to order the continuity that many people have ended up with 2 Quartered Arms coins. If that is the case, all who missed out might want to check the site now and then for the canceled duplicates.

It shows no longer available on both single and continuity. I would still look maybe because who knows if they add more. Good luck my friends!

Did they raise the price a bit?

Will there be a subscription option similar to the Tudor Beasts?

Anyone know which design will be available today?

Presumably there will be 275 2oz gold (milled edge) available 🤔
Did you hear that from an AM or is that from subtracting the plain edge from the total mint number in the images?

I think that would be difficult to capture. It's mostly if you turn it at a certain angle it just has an odd kind of smudged look.
