quadrums are great cases for gold.  it makes smaller fractional coins look much bigger than they are on par with 1oz coins 
 

I was reluctant to post because I was quite amused by sitting on 666 posts for a bit, however I'm quite excited because today I received a not only a 2006, but also a 2007 silver Britannia. Not much in the grand scheme of things but it does mean that I now have a complete run of BU Brits, 1998-2014

...So I came across the coloured version and liked the design. I am really somewhat against any sort of coloured coins (unless perhaps they are silver with gold gilding like the 2013 Canadian Maple Leaf Forever 1 kilo coin (mintage 600) which I don't have but would love to own}, but due to the low mintage (1000) and really only subtle colour silver black/white  to the coin I made the purchase. It was only afterwards that I realized that there was a plain silver proof version (non-colourized), so I decided that I had to have that one too, and pushed the button. Even though the mintage in now 2000 I still think that is a pretty respectably low mintage . Today I received my 2013 1 kilo Silver Proof Year of the Snake (SII) which I purchased from Talisman Coins. It was my first purchase ever from the company. Although it took a little longer to receive than I am used to,  I am completely satisfied and happy with the coin, and I think it was a steal at $1399 US. When I had some initial concerns about how long my order was taking to process, the company representative was very professional and allayed my concerns by responding to my e-mail promptly with a phonecall. I would definitely use this company again (but for an item that is low in stock on their website inventory I would recommend  first calling the company to verify the current stock supply and estimated time of delivery) . Today I bought a 2013 Lunar series 2 proof high relief snake (another one).

Also bought a 2011 Perth Mint proof high relief kangaroo.

Think I did pretty bloody well price-wise too.

Today I got a Rwanda cheetah, 2007 britannia and 2011 panda. The Rwandan coin came in its mint plastic cover - not sure wether to break it open and put it in a capsule..
