Tried warm water and washing up liquid but I couldn't get it all off.  Ended up using silver polish and a soft microfibre cloth and then rising with washing up liquid and warm water.

Out of interest, as mine haven't arrived yet, how did you clean them? I'm assuming mine will also need a spruce up.

Couple of 1/4 Isle Man Angels.  At 22k and 22mm they feel quite chunky compared to other 1/4oz coins.  They were covered in some stuff so had to give them a clean.
Padded the order with a half sov and got an Edward.  Beats getting a George or QE2.

It's the wife's birthday tomorrow so thought I'd buy one each of the gold and white gold roses from CoinInvest just for the novelty.
While I was at it, added a 1/10 2015 Brit for the 1/10th collection because of the dimple effect making it different from previous years.
I've been wanting to pickup some more 2015 Pandas and STG are currently the cheapest and with spot low and the € rate being high, it was a good time to buy.  Not only that, a quick email to Livia to combine postage saved another £7.

There was a small problem with the Pandas though.  They were packed at the bottom of the box with the roses on top but after being taped up, the shipping label was placed on the bottom by mistake.  This now meant that the Pandas were no longer flat and a large proportion of them popped out of the tray during transit.  Easy enough to drop back in though so no harm done.

Cheers guys. I appreciate you looking for me.

I've put the coin up on the bay, as a "VF, possibly bordering on an EF", but suggesting potential bidders look at the pics for themselves to decide the condition. Already got its first bid, (meaning I'm already smiling at the profit),  and if I get anywhere near £150-£200, I'll be well chuffed.

Received a $20 Liberty Head from HGM today.  I'm not too fond of the head but with spot being at the lowest point for me and not owning one, I had to buy it.  Since I was paying for postage already I padded the order with 3 half sovs for the £6.50 bracket.  I got 3 different heads so quite pleased.

The coin is 34mm but I've squeezed it into a 32mm ring so that it remains in a H sized capsule.  @Lindeman to make it easier to fit into the capsule I used a 40.6 instead of the 39.  Not perfect but better than going up a capsule size.

@HawkHybrid. I missed this post of yours as well. Oops.
My strategy is to try and predict when gold has bottomed. Very difficult too do I know, but if I get within a few % I'll be happy. I will then start to buy bullion gold into the rise. Can't see the point of buying gold and if it goes down, not being concerned.

As for the sheild sovereigns at spot +15%. I'm working on it. I may, and it's a big may, be able to offer them on the forum at spot + 15% + £10 + postage. The advantage will be you get to choose a year and see a picture of the coins available. I'll let the forum know if the deal comes off by posting an expression of interest.

    would you rather be:

1, a person who bought a hgm shield sovererign knowing
that if the same shield came up it would be cheaper.
    2. a person who did not buy a hgm shield sovereign,
waiting for one to be in stock.

A bunch of the fab South Gippsland Bullion Series of Decent rounds, and some display cases to put them in. Looking amazing. Including the very rare 888 mintage 'Double Obverse'.
