I had been clean for months and fell off the wagon due to a good looking bird from Australia.It was only a small fix but it made me feel better.One day at a time,One day at a time.
She was a bit grubby but  cheap.I hope i don't come out in milk spots.

Hi my name is SilverPirate and i just bought a 1oz silver coin,DAMN IT poxy addictive pastime.
I was trying to give it up but it was one of them nights.

Quite excited with this - a 1961 Iceland 500 Kronor gold (0.900) coin; not many of these come available. Stock picture attached - hoping mine is in reasonably similar condition!. Was the first gold coin ever issued by Iceland.  
Coming south from Reykjavik in the coming weeks....
 
Also picked up another gold $5 Indian Head. This one from 1911; another US purchase on the eBay. Three down now..1908, 1909 and 1911
will post pics when the coins arrive ( haven't seen any of my 3 Indian heads yet ! ).

2004 carded half sov,my first one  £106 delivered!

It's the wife's birthday tomorrow so thought I'd buy one each of the gold and white gold roses from CoinInvest just for the novelty.  
While I was at it, added a 1/10 2015 Brit for the 1/10th collection because of the dimple effect making it different from previous years.
I've been wanting to pickup some more 2015 Pandas and STG are currently the cheapest and with spot low and the € rate being high, it was a good time to buy.  Not only that, a quick email to Livia to combine postage saved another £7.
 
There was a small problem with the Pandas though.  They were packed at the bottom of the box with the roses on top but after being taped up, the shipping label was placed on the bottom by mistake.  This now meant that the Pandas were no longer flat and a large proportion of them popped out of the tray during transit.  Easy enough to drop back in though so no harm done.

A couple of bullion grade proof double sovs from Atkinsons.  A little clean up to bring the shine back.  I would have waited for HGM but they don't get them in very often.
Also got  package from the states with a declared value of US$399 which slipped through

Turned up 10 mins ago after being on pre-order since Jan.

A surprisingly nice little coin! quite thin, but large diameter, reminds me a little of the 1 ducats.
 
1/2 and full pahlavi to buy next month or so i reckon. Could become quite attached to them. 

A 2005 1 oz kookaburra. And that completes my 1990-2015 date run! My first and probably last silver date run.

Size wise it's fine,I normally only buy 1/10th gold coins....a bought 2015 full sovereign last week and I wasn't impressed,I really like the look of the old sovereigns

Received this today ....my first order from HGM and my first half sovereign

....the animals are still running wild. LOL 1/2oz Lunar 1 Rooster and 1/2oz Lunar 1 Dragon.

I have a few proofs with marks on, maybe I will try this with a half sovereign I only paid bullion price for and see how it turns out 
 
Do you just dip it in the soapy water then some clean water? or do you leave it in the soapy water for a bit

Great job on removing those marks.  Fingerprints or dirt?

A 2002 Proof half Sovereign without box of COA and some marks.
A little washing up liquid with warm water and then a new capsule so it can be put into an album.
