Today I went on a bit of a spending spree......
 
86 oz of silver from STG.
5 full sovereigns, 1 Half sovereign, and 1 quarter Krugerrand.
7 Victoria Crowns.
3 1 oz silver coins, 2 * ASE, and a 2014 Maple.

Just bought 2 more Victoria shield sovereigns from HGM
 
Talked on the phone and asked for two in the best condition, no real toning, scratches, chunks out of the edges & good detail in the hair etc
 
Anxiously hoping I will get two nice ones 

A double gold proof 2005 sovereign from Arshimo. Nice.
I've been waiting for an Arshimo sale and he didn't disappoint.
Edit: I have fully evolved into a collector. I am a beautiful butterfly now.

Today was a very good day.

I received the last 5 Sydney Olympic proofs to complete the set.

A 2008 panda to take that run back a little further.

A Rwanda elephant 2009, only two required for that run.

A 2oz series 2 ox, only the mouse to get to complete that set.

Two Westminster coin boxes from MB to hold my two date runs of Britannias (with privies).

After months of searching I have managed to finally acquire a 1oz Gold Ukrainian Archangel Michael for a fairly reasonable premium.  Came in Mint capsule but I've rehoused it.

A 1/4 once gold Australian 2015 kangaroo, 1x 1 ounce 2014 Armenian silver coin, 2 x 1 ounce Johnson Matthey silver bars & 3 x Winston Churchill £20 coins.

I will take better pictures tomorrow in daylight, the artificial light I don't find works great with my phone

Well, just to update, they arrived this morning.

Perfect condition, all test out as genuine.

Just bought a 2002 full sovereign from Atkinsons for £213 :)

I got that red case with 4 full bullion sovereigns in, holds 10, I thought it would take me a while to get 6 more..
 
Bought the 2002 sovereign from Atkinsons yesterday, 5 Victoria shield sovereigns today, done lol. 

My first Nugget. Bit of an old one, but still better looking than the small Sovs it has taken the place of.

The design is very nice and it goes along with the 1887 double sov and half sovereigns I have, but it just doesn't seem precious to me.. seems like an old junk coin
 
Old gold feels special, this old silver hmm not feeling it.

Thanks to Kman for the word on the gold deals @ Atkinsons - two 1 oz Aussie gold nuggets from 1987. These are the $100AUD coins with a real nugget depicted, before the kangaroos took over. Well pleased, as they are rarely on eBay for less than £950. Priced @ £879.95 each. Looks like most of those loose coins are gone, as they were pretty good prices relative to new bullion. Could not resist.

Bought my first sovereign today, a 1907. Looking forward to adding it to the collection/stack/stash/hoard.

I only started in summer 2014, so i am totally bamboozled now - like Stretch I cannot bring myself to buy, as the only prices i have known are below this ... But my brain and HT are obviously logical in saying that we are still historically low.
All i do know is I am happy I bought as much as I could in the last 3 months. Getting nostalgic looking at the receipt for my 1 ounce UK lunar horse from November for less than £760 new!! Lesson learned ? Buy more PMs. Hindsight is awesome....
Its ebay for the odd quirky bargain, or trading with fellow forum members/collectors.

Nice - esp the 2005 proof. Is that reindeer thing guarding the coins and the flowers?
